Jared Kushner is being scrutinized by the FBI as part of the Russia probe. That is according to more leaks, first to the Washington Post last week and to NBC News and The Washington Post again this evening. All the reporting is anonymous, illegal, and admits Kushner is not accused of any wrongdoing but he did meet with Russians.
NBC News and The Washington Post broke the news within minutes of each other, both citing unnamed U.S. officials.
Some unnamed U.S. officials are painting Jared Kushner as what? A Russian stooge, a spy, a useful idiot?
He is “not a formal subject of investigation”, NBC News reported. What does that mean?
WaPo reports that Kushner is “the only current White House official known to be considered a key person in the probe” and confirmed that Kushner has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
He’s a key person but not accused of anything.

WaPo reports: The Washington Post said Thursday that authorities were looking into a “series of meetings” held by Kushner and Russian operatives in December. Kushner’s meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and a banker from Moscow gave investigators pause due to the “extent and nature of his interactions” with the Kremlin, The Post reported, citing people familiar with the investigation.
