Senator Al Franken, a former comedian who is a joke as a senator, asked Tom Price how he could own tobacco stock as a doctor. He also suggested Price engaged in insider trading. When Price explained it’s a mutual fund and most people don’t know every stock that is in their funds, Franken basically called him a liar.

Tom Price responded. He was offended by the insider trading accusation and said his agreement with his broker is simply that she provide a diverse portfolio like most people do. He never discussed it with her.
