Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer will say and do anything for political points. This is a man who never saw a camera he didn’t love. He’s accomplished nothing of significance in his many years as senator. What he has done and continues to do now is damage General Flynn’s reputation for political reasons.
Reason Magazine’s Nick Gillespie describes him this way: No issue is too stupid or inconsequential for Schumer to weigh in on, inevitably calling for a ban or regulation that serves no other possible purpose than to shine a light on the glory and grandeur of Chuck Schumer.
Schumer called for the head of Secretary Flynn and wants Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from any investigation of General Flynn and the alleged Russian hacking. He is demanding a special prosecutor.
The bloviating senator was behind firing Secretary Flynn.
Former Secretary Flynn had an innocuous conversation with the Russian ambassador. He might have lied about it to Vice President Michael Pence, he might have forgotten, we just don’t know. However, Schumer couldn’t wait to jump on it for political expediency.
General Flynn is an American hero. Schumer is the opposite.
He is on a rampage and wants Flynn’s head on a platter for doing something all administrations do before taking office.
Schumer’s rant:
“Was General Flynn directed or authorized to do what he did? What was the extent of his conversations and contacts with Russia? Who else from the Trump administration, transition or campaign had contact with the Russians? And why wasn’t General Flynn fired as soon as the administration found out? Why did they act only when they were caught misleading the media?”
He said such an investigation could be conducted by “career people” in the DOJ or an outside independent counsel. “I am not specifying what there should be,” Schumer said.

T”hese are just a few of the questions that need to be answered. And these questions shouldn’t just apply to General Flynn, but to senior officials in the Trump campaign, transition and administration. Every one of these questions should be applied to all of them as well.”
Schumer was disrespectful to Senator Cotton and of his prior service in January but Senator Cotton hit back, blasting him from the Senate floor. Schumer does not respect the military.
Reason Magazine published an article about Schumer in March 2015 that’s a great read. It’s titled, UPDATED! Meet Chuck Schumer, One of the Most Trivial Pols Ever. And Your Next Senate Minority Leader. Read it on this link. They list all his petty little successes.
Do you think it was a mistake to fire the General?
