Here’s Trump’s 10-Point Plan to “Shatter the Deep State”

Donald Trump has a ten-point plan “to dismantle the deep state and reclaim our democracy from Washington corruption once and for all.” He said he’d “shatter the deep state.” I think you’ll like it, even if it seems impossible.

You can read the transcript or watch the video.

‘First, I will immediately reissue my 2020 executive order restoring the president’s authority to remove rogue bureaucrats, and I will wield that power very aggressively.

“Second, we will clean out all of the corrupt actors in our national security and intelligence apparatus, and there are plenty of them. The departments and agencies that have been weaponized will be completely overhauled so that faceless bureaucrats will never again be able to target and persecute conservatives, Christians, or the left’s political enemies, which they’re doing now at a level that nobody can believe even possible.

“Third, we will totally reform FISA courts, which are so corrupt that the judges seemingly do not care when they are lied to in warrant applications. So many judges have seen so many applications that they know were wrong or at least they must have known. They do nothing about it.

“Fourth, to expose the hoaxes and abuses of power that have been tearing our country apart, we will establish a truth and reconciliation Commission to declassify and publish all documents on deep state spying, censorship, and corruption, and there are plenty of them.

“Fifth, we will launch a major crackdown on government leakers who collude with the fake news to deliberately weave false narratives to subvert our government and our democracy. When possible, we will press criminal charges.

“Sixth, we will make every inspector general’s office independent and physically separated from the departments they oversee so they do not become the protectors of the deep state.

“Seventh, I will ask Congress to establish an independent auditing system to continually monitor our intelligence agencies to ensure they are not spying on our citizens or running disinformation campaigns against the American people or that they are not spying on someone’s campaign like they spied on my campaign.

“Eight, we will continue the effort launched by the Trump administration to move parts of the sprawling federal bureaucracy to new locations outside the Washington swamp just as I moved the Bureau of Land Management to Colorado. As many as 100,000 government positions could be moved out, and I mean immediately of Washington to places filled with patriots who love America, and they really do love America.

“Ninth, I will work to ban federal bureaucrats from taking jobs at the companies they deal with and that they regulate. So they deal with these companies, and they regulate these companies, and then they want to take jobs from these companies. It doesn’t work that way. Such, a public display cannot go on, and it’s taking place all the time, like with big pharma.

“Finally [Tenth], I will push a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on members of Congress. This is how I will shatter the deep state and restore government that is controlled by the people and for the people.”

Shatter the deep state by outlawing payroll deductions for taxes. Make each tax payer write the check each month.
The revolution would start in less that a year and over soon after that.

I couldn’t agree more to this, for just the reason you note.

Once I became self-employed and had to do just what you suggest (having to write the checks to State and Federal tax authorities myself – from funds that I would have *much* rather used myself) – I came to the same conclusion: If the majority of taxpayers had to do this too, there would be none too polite mobs in the streets protesting how much we ‘lose’ in taxes this way. Until we ‘feel the pain’ of the money leaving *our* hands, it’s not going to change. Keeping us from directly feeling this is why employers withhold taxes before we even ‘see it’ (our net pay).

I also suspect that even lacking an explicit ‘tax revolution’, each having to manage their own tax withholdings would *still* defund (and thereby starve the beast that is) government because so many would refuse do so (or be unable to – due to insufficient planning).

The next trick is to prevent the government from just ‘borrowing from our progeny’ or worst, just printing more ‘money’ to make up for the lack of tax receipts. Until the government lives within it’s means (especially the FedGov), by not spending materially more than actual tax receipts – nothing will change.

I will push a constitutional amendment? Not a chance. All our rights would be up for grabs and I don’t trust Trump or anyone else with them.

While I agree that it’s unwise to trust government officials with our rights, Don’t confuse a constitutional amendment with a constitutional convention. One allows relatively minor corrections/fixes – the other allows amendments and (potentially) wholesale replacement. I endorse term limits for US Congress mostly to at least *attempt* to prevent ‘professional’ politicians. By reducing the number of terms to be served – you reduce the amount of time that must be spent on fundraising for elections (and lining their pockets), allowing more time to be spent doing the job they were elected for, rather than making them potentially beholden to their campaign donors (especially special interest groups!). FWIW – I think that instituting term limits goes hand-in-hand with repealing the 17th Amendment, returning power of selection of US Senators to the States, using the methods they determine best for themselves. They could continue with ‘statewide popular elections’, as is currently implemented, or use some other selection method as they deem fit.

He’s lying through his teeth. Trump can’t even choose people that will support him or his agenda. Do you need examples? Really? Okay, Pence, and his two AGs that did absolutely nothing to dismantle the deep state. But I’ve got more if you need them. Before the idiots come out of the woodwork and call me a liberal, I voted for him twice. I won’t make that mistake again. In fact, I’m never voting again. No point. The DNC can buy any election they want.

Never going to happen. Trump will either be in prison or assassinated by the deep state.

After appeals, taking as long as they do, Pres. Trump will never be put in jail.

  1. Trump is far too smart to tip his hand about what he plans to do.
  2. You need to immediately shrink the size of the Federal government by 50%
  3. Education Department closed
  4. EPA closed
  5. Reduce all others by 50%
  6. Close all these Advisory Boards.
  7. Clean out the Pentagon: they’ve failed audits for the last 6 years. This year they can’t account for 3 TRILLION of assets they are supposed to have! That’s a lot of humvees!
  8. Close the FBI: its redundant because most states of a state bureau of investigation, and they are controlled by the state legislature. NO FEDERAL POLICE!
  9. CIA must be reined in.
  10. Move the entire Agriculture department to IOWA
  11. etc. etc.

I say fire them all. And only hire when thing aren’t actually getting done. My guess is we could do an Elon Musk and fire at least 80% of them. And when you don’t notice them missing, cancel the job.
