The negotiations’ redline for a framework with Iran has been moved yet again. The P5+1 are never serious about any deadline. They claim it was never the deadline. They are also not serious about holding the line on anything. We continue to negotiate with Iran despite constant threats. The latest threat comes from a militia commander.
Israeli radio reported Tuesday that Mohammad Reza Naqdi said “erasing Israel off the map” is “nonnegotiable”. This is while negotiations are going on.
Naqdi is the commander of the Basij militia of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
Nadij is no fan of Saudi Arabia either. He said their offensive in Yemen will “have a fate like the fate of Saddam Hussein.”
Last year, he said Iran was increasing arms sent to West Bank Palestinians.
He stated the obvious that much of Hamas’ arsenal, training, technical know-how last summer came from Iran.
This particular militia also serves as a moral police.
In an interview on Al Manar TV on September 16, 2012 and translated by MEMRI, Naqdi said that Jerusalem has been on the minds of Iranians for many years and they are just waiting for the right moment.
