Russian state energy giant Gazprom cut gas supplies to Germany to 20 per cent. One German city has turned off the hot water. Europe is panicking. It’s going to be a cold winter.

Senior trying to get warm.

Hanover becomes the first big city in Europe to ban hot water and central heating in public buildings in response to the gas crisis. The is is the result of warnings to Germans to expect sky high electricity bills and sweeping gas rationing measures that will affect their day-to-day lives.

They might cut off the water in swimming pools, sports halls and gyms.

Other desperate gas-saving measures include switching off public fountains and blacking out night-time lights on major buildings such as the town hall and museums.

The city’s mayor, Belit Onay, spoke of an “imminent gas shortage” that meant they had to reduce the city’s energy consumption by 15 per cent.

There will also be a ban on portable air conditioners, heaters and radiators among the general populace as the average German begins to pay the price for sanctions.

These reductions, which EU energy chief Kadri Simson dismissed as ‘politically motivated’, have seen energy bills soar, governments struggle to fill gas storage facilities and energy.

Russia claims they aren’t weaponizing Nord Stream, but few believe them.

Russia had to reduce its gas flow to Europe through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline due to turbine malfunctions, Gazprom Deputy Chief Executive Vitaly Markelov said on Friday. The issues are due to Germany’s Siemens company – which produces the turbines – failing to fulfill its commitments, he told the Rossiya 24 TV Channel.

Siemens has so far eliminated only one-fourth of the total number of discovered malfunctions affecting its turbines, Markelov said.

That’s according to the Russians.

Has Germany agreed to pay in rubles? I see no major complaints in Germany, they are accepting the situation. Why doesn’t Germany negotiate?

Germans deserve this, they are complacent, they flex vote for leftists, even the so-called conservative party is on the left, and they want to drastically lower energy consumption anyways.

They can turn the lights off in the cities and then the 2 million non-assimilated they let in can get into mischief as they have been doing.

While the Germans and the rest of Europe freezes there are a few things we Americans can do to show our support for Ukraine. Ukraine is at war, and they are counting on you to carry out various symbolic gestures that will show everyone you care while requiring almost no effort on your part!
Here are some great ways to help the struggling people of Ukraine:

  1. Add a Ukrainian flag to your profile pic: The most important thing you can do.
  2. Take a moment to learn how to locate Ukraine on a map: It’s next to Russia.
  3. Let them use your Netflix password: It is our responsibility to share streaming entertainment with the less fortunate.
  4. Find the smartest guy you know and get him a job at a Ukrainian gas company: Come on man! Not a joke!
  5. Watch Rocky IV and cheer against the Russians even harder: Rocky has a robot servant at home. This is important.
  6. Change your pronouns to “Zelensky/Zelenskyy”: That should cover all the bases.
  7. Buy an electric car: We’re pretty sure that helps somehow.
  8. Put a “We support Ukraine” sign in your yard: Make sure they face any Russian neighbors you may have.
  9. Text DONATE $1,000 to BIDEN2024: Biden can solve literally any problem.
  10. Pay extra taxes: It all goes to Ukraine anyway.
