John McCain Talks About the Fiscal Cliff, Benghazi, a Morsi Dictatorship – Video

Senator John McCain

Hey, wow, is the United States sticking up for freedom or what??? Mohammed Morsi just declared a dictatorship and Obama responded with a whimper via Victoria Nuland at the State Department. There are no threats of cutting funding, just a call for calm.

I’m guessing Obama knew this power grab was coming. One thing is certain, Obama isn’t fighting for freedom now:

The United States’ Reaction to Egypt’s November 22 Decisions

Press Statement
Victoria Nuland
Department Spokesperson, Office of the Spokesperson
Washington, DC
November 23, 2012

The decisions and declarations announced on November 22 raise concerns for many Egyptians and for the international community. One of the aspirations of the revolution was to ensure that power would not be overly concentrated in the hands of any one person or institution. The current constitutional vacuum in Egypt can only be resolved by the adoption of a constitution that includes checks and balances, and respects fundamental freedoms, individual rights, and the rule of law consistent with Egypt’s international commitments. We call for calm and encourage all parties to work together and call for all Egyptians to resolve their differences over these important issues peacefully and through democratic dialogue.

There is also that fiscal cliff problem which will bring us into a recession. Obama was asked about the fiscal cliff [which Bernanke warns will be a crisis] and his response was, “We’re doing Christmas shopping. Happy Thanksgiving, folks.”

Then there is Benghazi. Obama will continue to obfuscate. Susan Rice came out and said she relied solely and completely on the intelligence. Basically, she is admitting to giving it no thought beyond some obviously absurd talking points.

John McCain did an excellent job of dealing with these issues on Fox News Sunday today. The only thing that many of the left-wing Pravda style papers reported about his appearance was that McCain said Republicans should leave abortion alone and that he stepped back slightly from his stance on the appointment of Susan Rice to State (so slightly only Pravda would notice).
