Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday called for a national gun control policy, saying that New York’s tough firearms laws are ineffective if they stand alone. His aide, Carey Gaby, was shot and critically wounded by a stray bullet at the West Indian Day parade in Brooklyn Monday.
The section he and his brother were walking through is one of the most dangerous in the city, no matter what time of day or night you are there. They were walking through at 4 a.m. Cuomo’s aide was caught in the crossfire of two gangs – not groups of legal gun owners.
Cuomo wants the nationalization of all gun laws and he wants them to be tougher than what New York already has.
A person was knifed to death at the parade but Cuomo didn’t call for tougher knife laws.
There are those who have however.
During his radio program on December 29, 2012, after a discussion on gun control, Al Sharpton responded to a caller who asked: “What happens when the criminal goes to knives, Al?”
Sharpton answered: “Then you deal with knives.” The same thing as if you have a head cold and the same thing you do if you have a head cold and the cold is gone and you have a headache. Then you take headache medicine. “The job of society is to deal with whatever problem confronts it,” he added.
Expect hammers to be taken out since a lot of people die from hammer attacks.
There is no end when it comes to Big Government control freaks. We will easily have no freedoms if let them go on unabated.
New York has the toughest gun laws but somehow the criminals aren’t abiding by them. I wonder why.
The parade always includes violence because the gangs attend. It’s one of the most dangerous parades out there. If they stopped the parade, it wouldn’t be a loss. The violence at this thing is to be expected.
Chicago also has strict gun laws and the criminals – not law abiding gun owners – celebrated the Labor Day weekend by killing 9 people and wounding 46. The black-on-black gang crime is the cause. It’s not because of the weapons of choice.
Since the renewed calls for restrictive gun laws, gun sales are skyrocketing. Newly released August records show that the FBI posted 1.7 million background checks required of gun purchasers at federally licensed dealers, the highest number recorded in any August since gun checks began in 1998.
Cuomo claims he is not against guns. Listen to him, he sounds insane.
He also claims he wants reasonable laws but is fine with confiscation. If the gun laws are nationalized, expect confiscation.
