The media calls them protesters and counter-protesters but we know who they are and will name them even if the media won’t. The protesters were the Patriot Prayer group and other right-wing Trump supporters. The counter-protesters were largely Antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM).

Police did throw some smoke bombs and they did arrest ten so far, including the prayer group leader whose crime was to be assaulted.
The Patriot Prayer leader Joey Gibson was handicuffed at the protests after being chased with his small group by a mob of demonstrators who took swings at him and pepper sprayed him.
He actually canceled his rally but was attacked when he showed up with a small group: “We’ve decided that tomorrow really seems like a setup,” Gibson announced during a Facebook Live video. “It doesn’t seem safe. A lot of people’s lives are going to be in danger tomorrow.” He added, “The rhetoric from Nancy Pelosi, Mayor Lee, the media – all of these people are saying that we’re white supremacists, and it’s bringing in tons of extremists.”
MEDIA REPORTS ARE UNRELIABLE
According to the Washington Post, “Anti-rally protesters chanted slogans ‘No Trump. No KKK. No fascist USA’ and carried signs that said: ‘Berkeley Stands United Against Hate.’”
About 4,000 people converged at the park as clashes broke out between right-wing and left-wing groups, police said. The right-wing group went to pray and peacefully protest from what we can tell, and the left-wing group were dangerous Antifa who went to attack people.
The media reports are cleansed and it’s hard to know exactly what is going on.
Several right-wing rallies were canceled because they were overwhelmed by the thousands of violent left-wingers. It’s unclear how many present were right-wingers, though they appear to be the people being assaulted.
The media won’t call out the antifa and Black Lives Matter for what they are. This is how KCRA phrased it: However, protesters with an anti-fascist group arrived at the park wearing masks and hoods that covered their faces.
The leftist politicians continue to lie about their violent Brown Shirts: “Mayor Ed Lee praised counter-demonstrators who had marched across the city, as well as those who marched near the designated site for the protest. ‘They made sure the themes of love and compassion dominated over hate speech,’ he said at City Hall, according to SFGate.com.”
Though Antifa was banned from wearing masks, they did wear them and were allowed into the park in Berkeley with weapons.
