Mark Levin: SCOTUS Could Do Further Damage to Immigration

I know many of my readers dislike Mark Levin, but you might share his concern about birthright citizenship. My problem stems from the fact that Justices Coney Barrett and Roberts appear to share many leftist ideas, and they are not Originalists.

Levin said the 14th Amendment does not provide birthright citizenship, and the propaganda is pushed on the public, ignorant of the facts. As he said, there is no mention of birthright citizenship in the Constitution.

As he said, Barrett and Roberts are not constitutionalists, and getting them to reject the idea could be difficult.

No ruling has ever supported the “birthright citizenship fiction.”

“But this current Court may do further damage to our nation’s immigration system, such as it is now, by enshrining into law what is not in the Constitution.

That is deeply concerning. They could enshrine it into the Constitution in perpetuity. The 14th Amendment was for the black Americans, no one else.

Agree or disagree, the text and precedence are clear in regards to birthright citizenship. It doesn’t matter if it was originally to affirm the citizenship of former slaves. It also clearly excludes children of diplomats so it could have included anchor babies but it didn’t. Here is the text of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment:

AMENDMENT XIV
Section 1.
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

I agree anchor babies are an unforeseen problem so the 14 Amendment should be revised through the amendment process. I don’t see any other way.

That is super bull, the only thing the RINO neocon sophist Levin is capable of.

It is already treated like law, so enshrining it into law matters not.

This is our chance to take care of this. Look at Levin make excuses to not try. Beware of his reverse psychology.

Trump is now doing incredible repair to our immigration system, with no help or support from Levin. I am unaware of Levin complaining about the 15 million invasion we had the past 4 years I do not recall him taking a lead and recommending the impeachment of Mayorkas.
