Massive Mexican Ship Crashes Into the Brooklyn Bridge – Update

Update: Officials are investigating what caused a Mexican Navy tall ship to veer off course and strike the Brooklyn Bridge on May 17, killing two sailors and injuring more than a dozen others on board.

They were reportedly going in the wrong direction.

The ship’s 147-foot masts, which were shining bright with decorative lights, couldn’t clear the arched bridge and were sheared off upon impact.

Naval cadets dressed in white uniforms could be seen dangling from the ship’s crossbeams. Meanwhile, bystanders at one of the suspension bridge’s bases, located near New York City’s South Street Seaport, fled in terror.

Of the 277 on board, two were killed and 22 were injured, including three who were seriously hurt, the Mexican Navy said on social media.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the Cuauhtémoc lost power just before crashing into the bridge at about 8:20 p.m. ET. Decorative lights remained illuminated on the ship’s mast as it struck the bridge.

Original Story

A massive Mexican pirate ship crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge today. As Benny says, it’s a perfect metaphor for crashing into progressivism. Reportedly, it is a Naval training ship.

I guess no one checked the clearance?

According to the New York Post, the ship, the Cuauhtémoc, was covered in lights and brandishing a huge Mexican flag. It was carrying about 200 people when it collided with the structure.

A search and rescue operation is reportedly underway. The Mirror said it has been labeled a mass casualty event by the Mexican Navy — to whom the ship allegedly belongs. When they say casualties, they might mean injuries as opposed to deaths.

The masts collapsed and fell back onto the deck. The bridge itself looks okay, but who knows?

I knew Mexico has an army albeit run by drug cartels. Obviously, they shouldn’t have a navy. Please don’t tell me they have an air force.

I read they were supposed to be heading out to sea. As MD said, they were going in the wrong direction.

The ship lost power before it hit the bridge. Where have I heard that one before?

The next thing they’ll be telling us is Mexico has an Air Force.

If Mexico does have an Air Force, it is likely being run by the drug cartels, as is the rest of the country.
