Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver is facing federal charges for assaulting a Department of Homeland Security officer, which can be seen on video. It took place as McIver and other lawmakers tried to break into the ICE detention facility in Newark.

Specifically, McIver is charged with violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 111(a)(1) for assaulting, impeding and interfering with law enforcement.

“No one is above the law — politicians or otherwise,” Habba said. “It is the job of this office to uphold justice impartially, regardless of who you are.”

McIver said in a statement that the charges against her “are purely political-they mischaracterize and distort my actions, and are meant to criminalize and deter legislative oversight.”

Loony LaMonica should go on the wrestling circuit – after she spends some time in jail that is.

Under-reported is the possibility that in the midst of this kind of Dem inspired chaos, one of their super-charged, demented, idiots could get hold of lawman’s gun, while that officer was trying to subdue a raging heavyweight like McIver.

This is progress. Most said the arrest of the lady would not happen.

My hunch is the major has offered some form of support for the ICE facility in his city, in return for the charges being dismissed. If so, that facility will be quiet now.

If the charges are justifiable…BRING THEM…There is a wealth of video evidence to JUSTIFY charges. The ‘bullying’ freaks on the ‘left’ HAVE to be made accountable. No kid gloves…

It seems that perhaps the charges against the mayor may have been dropped because of a technical mistake in placing he charge. The mayor was invited for a tour to alleviate his concerns.
