This latest leak could show that Trump is not interfering with the investigation or it could look bad for him, depending on who is interpreting this information.
The Democrats are going to say it looks bad.
Flynn was Trump’s National Security Advisor for 24 days when he was fired for lying to Vice President Michael Pence. Flynn also worked with Trump’s campaign for several months before the election.
Federal prosecutors are seeking business records, as part of the ongoing probe of Russian meddling in last year’s election, CNN reported.
CNN learned of this exclusively. The subpoenas were issued hours before the Comey firing. The FBI continues to look for ties between Trump campaign associates and Russia.
The subpoenas were issued to associates who worked with Flynn on contracts after he was forced out of the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2014.
What strikes me is the Democrats went wild when they learned of the Comey firing Tuesday. They can’t stand Comey but they kept railing about the timing. Did they know about this? Who knew about this?
The timing of the firing coincides with the appointment of the Deputy Attorney General who recommended the firing.
It’s odd that CNN gets all these leaks.
