Mississippi Killer of 8 Said “I Ran Out of Bullets”


Authorities from multiple agencies took Cory Godbolt into custody in Mississippi Sunday morning after they say he killed eight people, including a Lincoln County deputy.

The deputy’s name and the names of the other victims, have not yet been released.

Godbolt fled from police and allegedly killed people at three different scenes in Lincoln County. He told The Clarion-Ledger reporter he did it because he loved his wife and children and he loves Bogue Chitto. It was over a custody battle.

In the video below, he says, “I ran out of bullets”. He also said “I ain’t fit to live”.

The deputy who was killed is 36-year old William Durr, a father, a husband, and religious minister who used to give puppet shows for the children.
