“Most Hippie Town” to Outlaw Drugs After Lives Were Destroyed

The NY Post reports that Bellingham, the ‘Most Hippie Town” in the leftist state of Washington, will outlaw drugs. This is only after OD’s in the streets and the fentanyl death of a 5-year-old girl.

Voters and leadership have blood on their hands for allowing hard drugs in the first place. Biden and his team have blood on their hands. They sent the message that it was okay to take hard drugs. They could have used their common sense and prevented this horror.

These same voters decriminalized drugs, calling themselves liberals. They’re not liberals; they’re progressives with no boundaries.

Cascadia Daily News notes that Fentanyl instantly addicts people and has taken a terrible toll on families.

Through April 12 of this year, the Bellingham Fire Department has responded to 223 overdoses, or 2.2 per day on average, Fire Chief Bill Hewett said. The rate was 1.3 overdose calls a day in the first three months of 2022, reports Cascadia, along with horror stories of what people are dealing with.

The decision follows a series of crises that included a 5-year-old girl who overdosed and died, and another in which a man died – and his body was left on a untouched for 12 hours before it was addressed, reports WND.

Edwin Williams, a city council member, explained, “A man was sitting on the curb in a parking lot with his head bowed, right out in the open … and a police officer told me that he had been dead for at least 12 hours.

“It shocked me to my core.”

It’s too bad they need to see this before they act!

In one horror story at Cascadia Daily News, the teen girl told her parents she tried fentanyl once and was addicted. She’d now get fentanyl wherever and however she could. Fentanyl only costs $2 a pop. A pop smaller than a dime can kill.

THE COUNTRY IS AWASH WITH FENTANYL AND OTHER HARD DRUGS

Millenium Health researchers say that the US is now blanketed in fentanyl. They detect a ninefold rise across the west. Fentanyl and its imitations have taken hold nationwide.

This is due to the open borders. All fentanyl comes from cartels that get the ingredients from China.

Fentanyl shows up in ever more urine tests across the western United States. The deadly opioid has fully spread from the East to West Coast.

Eric Dawson, the vice president of clinical affairs at Millennium Health, said his researchers had seen a 146 percent increase in positive fentanyl tests nationwide between 2019 and 2022.

The most significant rises were seen along the Pacific coast and mountain regions, which respectively saw 900 percent and 875 percent increases in detections of the powerful synthetic opioid.

There are two solutions for most of this: close the border and enforce laws against this.

Notice how the first reaction by a Liberal is to ban something completely. The focus should be on ensuring that drugs are pure and going after people peddling street drugs with Total Malice. As an Adult, I should be able to purchase any drug I desire and giving those regulated Drugs to a minor without a doctors direction should have dire consequences.

I think we have made a lot of progress over the last 100 years with Marijuana. Marijuana has a place in the drug cabinet for people with certain diseases. As a Recreational Drug it is at least as bad as Alcohol and Tobacco, but using Marijuana recreationally should be the decision of Adult users.

As bad as Fentanyl is, I don’t think it should be banned. It has a place in Cancer Treatment. It should be regulated and possession of unregulated Drugs should result in a Jail Sentence. Sales of unregulated Drugs should carry the Death Penalty. Regulation and Severe Penalties allows for both Freedom and Safety. Banning things just increases the Street Value and makes crime more lucrative.

I grew up in the 60s when a lot of drugs were available in school. We were educated on drugs by our parents and the community. A lot of kids back then did Marijuana, very few kids in Middle Class Suburbia did Heroin or LSD. In the 80s, Cocaine was very popular, but as the word spread on it’s downside it became less popular. Real Drug Education is the key, not propaganda like “Reefer Madness”. The problem with Fentanyl is mostly a lack of purity leading to overdose or adding it to other drugs. Educating people about its strength and removing unregulated sources will go much further to saving lives than an outright ban.

Proper regulation and the Death penalty for sales would make the illegal drug trade too dangerous to be profitable if a regulated source was available. No mater what laws are passed, addicts will always find drugs so controlling the pipeline and purity is the answer, not bans!

Drugs weeding out the stupid in society. There were dangerous drugs around when I was young but I chose not to take them.

Same here. As such, statements like this (above), “This is due to the open borders. All fentanyl comes from cartels that get the ingredients from China,” kinda make me crazy.

The only reason the cartels, and China behind them, are doing what they’re doing, and are making ka-jillions of dollars doing what they’re doing, is because THERE IS A WIDE OPEN MARKET for what they’re peddling here in the US. WHO wants to take this stuff!?!? Such a person would have to already be mentally/intellectually/psychologically/morally impaired to the nth degree to deliberately search it out and obtain it, and then willfully put it inside their bodies.

The mentality that insists that those who deliberately fill their own bodies with fatal substances are VICTIMS of the cartels and China, is the same mentality that blames gun manufacturers when some evil lunatic runs out and shoots up shoppers at a mall.

It’s not the drugs. It’s the idiots who take them to achieve euphoria. It’s not the guns. It’s the degenerates who use them to murder.
