Barack Obama actually said at a presser Sunday that by attending the Climate Conference he is showing ISIS I’m ‘Not Afraid’ and Amb Wendy Sherman, putting a smiley face on Obama’s ‘no strategy’ plan against ISIS, said President Obama has been about “Resolve Not Fear” against ISIS.
Barack Obama said he would go ahead with a visit to Paris for the pivotal UN summit on climate change despite the recent attacks in the French capital, urging other leaders to do the same to show “we are not afraid” of extremists.
“I think it’s absolutely vital for every country, every leader, to send a signal that the viciousness of a handful of killers does not stop the world from doing vital business,” Obama said following an Asia-Pacific summit in Malaysia.
In addition to hunting down terrorists, missile strikes, curbing jihadist financing and other steps, “the most powerful tool we have to fight ISIL is to say that we’re not afraid”, he said.
How is it that Obama could think that, even in the furthest reaches of his bizarre imagination, it’s courageous to attend a climate change summit while traveling in bullet proof vehicles with hundreds of security guards, and thousands of security agents and endless precautions in Paris? It’s brave now to go to Paris with heavy security?
David Brooks ripped Obama, saying his ISIS Policy “Is a rank failure”.
No kidding. A policy without a strategy is always a rank failure.
Chris Christie told Jake Tapper today that we are dealing with ISIS problems that Obama created.
“Jake, what we’re going to do and what we should be doing as a country is to set up a no-fly zone in Syria. And we should set up a safe haven in Syria, so these folks don’t have to leave their country in the first place. This is — this is something that the president has created. His failure to enforce his red line, his invitation for Russia to come into Syria, his inaction as this — as this crisis has spiraled out of control has created this crisis. And now he wants the American people to absorb this crisis that he has created. He should set up a no-fly zone in Syria and a safe zone in Syria for refugees to be able to stay inside their own country. This is not an issue we should even have to be addressing inside the United States.”
Barack Obama has set impossible rules of engagement. He wants zero negative impact on civilians and that is not possible if sincerely fighting a war.
Recently, when Ash Carter was asked why the US has just begun striking at the oil pipeline supplying ISIL with funding, Carter pointed out that “the oil infrastructure is something that the civilian population benefits from. You don’t want to punish people.”
It would also upset Obama’s buddies in Iran.
Obama wants to fight a war without civilian casualties and as a result, planes sit on the tarmac or come back with the bombs.
He brags about his air campaign but it’s barely a campaign. The US has launched about 8,000 strikes over the last 15 months and the pilots often came back with their bombs, but during the less-than-two-month Desert Storm air campaign in 1991, the US-led coalition launched 48,224 strike sorties, or an average of 1,100 a day.
Russia’s air force flew 394 sorties and hit 731 targets in Syria in the last three days, Interfax news agency stated, quoting the head of the Russian Air Group in Syria. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, they are hitting our allies.
If you did the math above, you will see we flew 17 or 18 a day and three-quarters of those come back with all their bombs.
The U.S. only conducted 117 strikes in October.
Our entire offensive is the air campaign.
The “moral” Obama, who worries so about refuges having a delay in their immigration to the US didn’t give a hoot when ISIS was and is destroying towns, villages, killing infants, using women and children as sex slaves and he didn’t care when our Americans were being beheaded. After James Foley was beheaded, he was smiling away on the golf course within twenty minutes.
The top Senate Intel Democrat, Dianne Feinstein, said on Face the Nation Sunday that the White House ISIS plan is not “sufficient”. She is pressing the White House to move more aggressively against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The agreement is not an overall strategy to eliminate ISIS, Feinstein added. “We need a specific, larger special operations plan,” she said.
And it starts with going into Raqqa. “That’s where the head of the snake so to speak has to be cut off — that’s Raqqa,” she said.
Didn’t Dianne hear? Obama just said, “We will ultimately destroy ISIS.” I’d like to know how.
Obama is not going to do it. He only cares about his domestic plan to make the U.S. into a socialist country and the only passion or concern he shows is when he’s attacking the half of the country he doesn’t like and the GOP.
