Obama Says Palestinian Attack In Jerusalem Is A Tragedy For Palestine

The bloodiest attack on Jews in years ended in the deaths of five worshipers, including one policeman and three Americans at a synagogue in Jerusalem. At least three were Rabbis. Others were seriously injured.

Within hours, President Obama, making little note of the American victims, called on Israel and Palestine to maintain calm and said the assault was a “tragedy for both Palestine and Israel”. Someone needs to inform Barack Obama that Israelis were attacked, not Palestinians.

It was a Hamas-inspired revenge attack.

Palestinians in Gaza celebrated, handing out candy and cookies, brandishing axes and posters of the alleged murderers.

Hamas sent vile anti-Semitic cartoons around celebrating the killings. The attack, Hamas said, was revenge after a Palestinian bus driver was found hanged in his vehicle.

President Obama’s reaction was to draw moral equivalence and called for both sides to maintain peace. He seemed unaware that this was a terrorist attack against America as well.

“We know that two attackers senselessly and brutally attacked innocent worshippers in a synagogue during their morning prayers,” Obama told reporters at the White House.

“Obviously, we condemn, in the strongest terms, these attacks.”

Obama said the assault was “a tragedy for both nations — Israel as well as the United States — and our hearts go out to the families, who obviously are undergoing enormous grief right now.”

“Tragically, this is not the first loss of life that we have seen in recent months,” Obama warned.

“Too many Israelis have died, and too many Palestinians have died. And at this difficult time, I think it’s important for both Palestinians and Israelis to try to work together to lower tensions and to reject violence.”

At 7 a.m., the two Palestinians pictured above, armed with a gun and meat cleavers, burst into the synagogue, slaughtering four people before they were finally shot dead by police.

One witness said the injured were covered in blood and two victims came out “with their faces half missing” looking like they were “attacked with knives”.

The attack is tied to the violence at Temple Mount.

Hamas is a terror group that has formed an alliance with Mahmoud Abbas. Abbas is a member of The Fatah Party who called the murders a “blessed event” on Facebook.

Abbas actively incites violence and does not want peace with Israel.

The United States negotiates with these people and acts as if Israel and Palestine are morally equal and culpable.

Spain reacted by recognizing Palestine as a state though only after Palestinians and Israel negotiate a peace settlement. Still, they sent the message. The Socialists submitted the motion and it was supported by all political groups.

Mr Netanyahu vowed to “settle the score with every terrorist” saying that those “who want to uproot us from our state and capital… will not succeed”.
