Rep. Ilhan Omar left her husband and three children recently and now lives in a swanky apartment in a posh neighborhood. She might have had a romantic reason for leaving.
A mystery man has given The Daily Mail a 12-second video of Omar leaving a hideaway-type restaurant with a man wearing glasses, who held her hand and appeared protective.
The video was obtained exclusively by DailyMailTV and it shows Omar and her companion leaving the romantic, out-of-the-way Italian restaurant in California the day after she made controversial remarks blaming 9/11 on “someone doing something.”
She left Caffé Pinguini in Playa Del Rey, a beachside enclave in Los Angeles, with the man who didn’t want photographs.
DailyMailTV has learned that an eyewitness — a waiter — observed Omar and her companion holding hands while dining inside the bistro.
The man who took the video said, “It’s so out of the way. It’s the sort of place you go when you don’t want anyone to know where you are.”
“It’s only a few miles from where I live and I didn’t really know what I was expecting,” the man — who doesn’t want to be identified because he works with several left-leaning Hollywood stars — told DailyMail.com.

When he got to the restaurant, he saw Omar and the bespectacled man sitting at a table at the back.
“I went in pretending I was going for a take-out,” the source said. “I looked over and said to the waiter, ‘Is that who I think it is?’” and he said yes.
“He told me he was upset with what she had said and kept calling her ungrateful saying she was a refugee and should be happy that the United States had taken her in.”
“He told me they had been holding hands in the restaurant, although I didn’t see that myself.” Attempts by DailyMail.com to speak to the waiter were unsuccessful.
The source said the man she was with was very protective of her. He wasn’t just anybody.
The man tried to speak to the two of them when they left. This was March 24th. The man she was with told him to put the cellphone down and put his hand in front of the camera.
He said he did speak with Omar for about 10 minutes, however. “As a Jew, I asked her why she seemed to hate Jews and she said she did not. When I asked her about Israel, she said there was hate on both sides.”
