People Keep Talking Up Canada As a 51st State

Kevin O’Leary, Mr. Wonderful, the Shark Tank star, said he would meet with Donald Trump to talk with him about annexing Canada. He said half of the Canadians are interested. What started out as a joke is growing legs.

It sounds like he’s trying to get publicity for his show.

O’Leary says Canada sits on the largest amount of all resources, including energy and water, suggesting this could be the beginning of an economic union.

“Think about the power of combining the two economies, erasing the border between Canada and the United States, and putting all of that resource up to the northern borders where China and Russia are knocking on the door. Secure that, give a common currency. Figure out taxes across the board. Get everything trading both ways. Create a new almost EU-like passport. I like this idea.”

Donald Trump offered Canadians a 60% tax cut if they accept. He has everyone all revved up.

Canada is a liberal shithole. They love their socialist utopia only because they have the luxury of running down to the U.S. for anything that their socialist society fails at. It would be a gift for Democrats if Canada joined the U.S. I would do the opposite. Create very strict restrictions on Canadians crossing the border. Let them stew in their own socialist reality until they finally get so sick of it they change their government. This is the land that keeps voting Justin Castro back into office. They’re nothing but Northern Mexico.

Your post is idiotic. Canada is a beautiful country with great people. Calling it what you did has no basis in fact.

It would be a money pit, along with taking on all the issues they already have. Possible gains, but at the risk of? How about we square ourselves away first, open for discussion on other things.

I like that idea but I doubt it will happen, at least not in the near future.

If we joined the USA we would pay less income taxes, less sales taxes, both nations would save money on import-export duties and tariffs.
USA and Canada have the largest trade relationship in the world ! it is over 900 Billion $

And if ever a rogue nation like China or Russia was to try and invade Canada, to take our resources,we don t have the military to defend ourselves so the USA would have to defend us.

I say yes lets join the USA !

but some Canadians don t like that idea… I have not seen surveys but probably half of them don t like it.

Canada is going to follow suit after watching whats happening in the US. No worries. The table is already more than half way turned, an it’s not just US and Canada, it’s pretty much everywhere. People everywhere have had it with the globalists and the leftists aversion to reality.

Sounds like the proposed “North American Union” from some decades past.
