The police stood down, Heather did not have to die

Fox News reporter Doug McElway said by 10:30 in the morning it was a “bad scene” and “bad things were going on”. People were congregating “wearing helmets, body armor, carrying big heavy sticks”.

“Nobody was intent on peace here from either side,” he said. People were being carried out wounded and park police “sat idly by”.

But when the tear gas started to fly, thrown by protesters, the police themselves began to evacuate then. I asked the guy who was in charge, “Where you going?” He said, “We’re leaving. It’s too dangerous.” They had a chance to nip this thing in the bud and they chose not to.

Who called them off? The mayor? The vice mayor?

Fields mother was interviewed

The Toledo Blade talked with James Fields’ mom, Samantha Bloom, as did AP. She said that Fields had texted her on Friday saying he dropped his cat off at her apartment and was going to an “alt-right” rally in Virginia.

She said she told her son:  “I told him to be careful. [And] if they’re going to rally to make sure he’s doing it peacefully.” She said he didn’t say anything about the rally possibly being extremist and she had no idea he was involved when she returned home from dinner on Saturday night. She really didn’t know what the alt-right rally meant, only to think that it had “something” to do with Trump. “Trump’s not a white supremacist,” she said.

Fields was raised by a single mom, after his dad was killed by a drunk driver shortly after he was born.

This is the interview.

What we know about the accuser and the victim

James Alex Fields Jr. age 20, is responsible for the death of Heather Heyer, age 32, who was crossing the street when the collusion occurred, a collision which might have been murder and domestic terrorism. Fields has been booked on multiple charges including 2nd degree murder.

Fields mug shot.

A total of 35 people were injured Saturday, 19 during the car crash/attack.

Ms. Heyer was with Antifa as a counter protester.

Heather

Left-wing bloggers have been offering tributes to the victim on social media.

Ms. Heyer was a paralegal, International Business Times reported. According to her LinkedIn page, she worked for Miller Law Group PC in Virginia as a legal assistant.

She was a Bernie supporter in 2016 and was open about those political views on her Facebook wall.

On social media, the accused terrorist, Mr. Fields, is accused of being a member of Vanguard America, a fringe group. He was a registered Republican.

It’s worth noting that Vanguard America said that Fields was “in no way” affiliated with the group and that “the shields were freely handed out to anyone who was in attendance”.

Witnesses say he drove into the group of Antifa deliberately. The police chief said that the white nationalists who staged the rally pre-planned the violence. Antifa did also but that is being downplayed. This wasn’t a case of Patriots against Antifa. It was lunatics against lunatics.

The media is calling the white nationalists ultra-conservatives but they’re socialists which clearly is not conservative.

The FBI is investigating this as a hate crime.
