The Trump administration just froze the last minute Obama action sending a $221 million cash gift to the Palestinian terrorist Authority (PA). In his waning days, former President Barack Obama quietly released $221 million to the PA though Congress had been blocking it.
The State Department is reviewing the last-minute decision by former secretary of state John Kerry to send $221 million to the Palestinians to be then given to Hamas-run Gaza.
Kerry told Congress the State department would release the money last Friday morning, hours before the inauguration.
The funds were to be used for the reconstruction of Gaza. Bombs are lobbed into Israel on a regular basis from Gaza. It was also for — get this — “good governance”. Gaza is ruled by the terrorist organization Hamas.
Why fund a country that attacked our ally? They will only use the money for terrorism as they have in the past.
The funds had been withheld by Ed Royce and Kay Granger, Republican representatives from Texas, because Palestinians attempted to join international organizations from which it planned to launch international campaigns against Israel. So much for their intentions to seek peace.
Instead of respecting the hold, Kerry tried to release the funds.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said about the freeze, “[Trump] is very concerned about how taxpayer money is spent whether it’s sent overseas and whet we get for it in terms of the relationship or our support for a democracy or aid to another country for their defenses. But he’s going to be examine all aspects for the budget. He’s going to make sure that every deal, every dollar that is spent by the government is done in a way that respects the American taxpayer.”
