A self-described Islamist socialist, who was formerly a neo-Nazi, killed two of his three Neo-Nazi roommates for disrespecting his religion. Police found bomb-making material and Timothy McVeigh literature in the apartment. Perhaps innocent people dodged a bullet.
We won’t comment on the relationship of Nazism and radical Islam except to say Hitler had a great, reciprocated relationship with the radical Turkish Islamists.
Devon Arthurs, 18, a convert to Islam was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and multiple charges of assault and armed kidnapping after he slaughtered his two roommates, the Associated Press and 5 Fast Facts reported.
He recently and easily segued from his Neo-Nazi beliefs to radical Islam and when his roommates allegedly poked fun at this religion, he killed them.
The Florida man told police his roommates were still Neo-Nazis.
Investigators found bomb-making materials and Nazi propaganda in the apartment.
A fourth roommate Brandon Russell was found crying and standing outside the apartment after he found the bodies when police arrived. He was in his National Guard uniform and has been arrested for charges related to explosives.
The FBI said Russell “admitted to his neo-Nazi beliefs” and said he was a member of a group called Atomwaffen, which is German for “atomic weapon.”
Arthurs held two customers and an employee hostage at gunpoint at a Tampa smoke shop, police said. He was complaining about the treatment of Muslims. He said he was upset over American bombing Muslim countries.
An officer talked him into letting the hostages go and, under questioning, he talked about killing two people, saying, “I had to do it”.
Inside the apartment, the officers found the bodies of 22-year-old Jeremy Himmelman and 18-year-old Andrew Oneschuk. Both had been shot in the upper body and the head.
Andrew Auernheimer, aka Weev, a felon, computer hacker and internet troll, wrote a post for the neo-Nazi publication, The Daily Stormer, about it being an anti-Nazi hate crime. There won’t be any sympathy for that argument. He also wrote that Arthurs was said to be promoting ISIS propaganda and trying to get people to convert to Islam.
The AP says he was banned from The Daily Stormer. The Nazis didn’t want a radical Islamist infiltrating their vicious hate group after all.
While family and friends are trying to portray Andrew Oneschuk as an innocent temporary boarder, The Daily Stormer claims they are/were all Neo-Nazis.
To recap, one extremist became a self-described Islamist Socialist and the other three are/were Neo-Nazis. It’s a natural transition. One was crazier than the others apparently.
Why did they have Timothy McVeigh literature and bomb-making materials? It looks like we might have dodged a bullet.
