The videos of a man standing behind Charlie Kirk before he was shot at Utah Valley University have gone viral because people think he’s an accomplice tipping off the killer.
It’s always good to wait on these things as I’ve found the hard way. It wasn’t that at all. He was adjusting for the glaring sun.
The man in the white t-shirt, sunglasses and a hat is Christian author, public speaker, and radio host Frank Turek.
He is one of Charlie Kirk’s friends who was there as part of his team. That came out fairly quickly but not everyone got the memo.
His team wrote: “The viral accusations against Dr. Frank Turek are categorically false. Dr. Turek was at Utah Valley University as part of Charlie Kirk’s team, standing with him as a close friend and mentor.
This is still up with over 100K likes, though it's been debunked.
The guy in the hat is Christian apologist Frank Turek, Charlie Kirk's friend and mentor and would have taken the bullet for him if he could.

Good research by M. Dowling!
Perhaps the fact that it has been reported that the last question to
Charlie was about mass killers, one cold think that the shooter was tipped off the question was asked and it was time to shoot. Having tried to discuss things with people wrapped op in conspiracy theories, I can see their thinking

From the roof top the shooter could shoot Kirk at any time, what sign would he need ? A sign for what? The theory that he was given a sign as to when to shoot makes no sense but there are many theories out there, many of them so far fetched that they are absurd one guy associated the number… Read more »
I know. Some are very ridiculous. This fellow with the hat was bothering me. It just won’t die.
Anyone signaling would not be near the line of fire. That guy was close to the line of fire. A shooter would be focusing on the target, in a scope, would not be looking for a signal.
