The Supreme Court sided against Donald Trump in a 5-4 decision, agreeing with a leftist judge that $2 billion in USAID funds to foreign entities must be distributed. Anything contractually determined before January 20 must be distributed.
Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the court’s three leftists to oppose the administration.
“The government must apparently pay the $2 billion posthaste — not because the law requires it, but simply because a district judge so ordered. As the nation’s highest court, we have a duty to ensure that the power entrusted to federal judges by the Constitution is not abused. Today, the court fails to carry out that responsibility,” Alito wrote
Four of the court’s conservatives — Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh — dissented.
“Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer dollars? The answer to that question should be an emphatic ‘No,’ but a majority of this Court apparently thinks otherwise. I am stunned,” Alito wrote, joined by the three others.
So, local district judges can order the government to pay out wasteful funds to foreign entities. Thank you Roberts and Barrett for your lousy decision.
This is a terrible decision. Barrett is a serious disappointment and no Originalist.

Never nominate a law school professor for a judgeship. Notre Dame is another far left university, and is Jesuit oriented.
Amy Barrett is a member of what some consider to be a cult in the Catholic Church. The People of Praise is not actually considered a religion, but it is Pentecostal in nature, believing in speaking in tongues, healing services and prophecy.
Robert Gouveia is doing an extensive analysis of the SCOTUS decision.

We need to take a page from the Dem’s playbook and pack the Court with a couple more conservative judges. Can you imagine the number of liberal heads exploding if we tried that???
The left doesn’t pick justices based on merit is the problem, they pick politically biased justices, which should be made to be illegal, and as soon as it can proven they should be made to step down from the bench. The contrast between the ethical and the unethical has become intolerable for the positions that they’ve been entrusted with. Unacceptable.
SCOTUS has made many decisions that I thought were questionable, but one in particular was shocking. I assumed it was a no-brainer. In the case of Kelo v City of New London SCOTUS ruled on eminent domain. It allows a city government to seize private property to facilitate private development. SCOTUS considered the taking to be a “public use” because of further economic development. They turned “public use” on its head.
In Kelo, which was narrowly decided in 2005, the Court ruled against homeowners who were trying to protect their neighborhood from being bulldozed to make way for a new private development. In doing so, the Court allowed eminent domain to be used for private gain.

Until Roberts is off of the bench expect the monkey wrenches to keep coming. He’s unfit to lead the court.
This could be the can of worms that opens the door to them being put on the stand themselves.
The people are sick of the crackpots running the courts, just as much they were sick of the people that were tossed out of office.
That ruling makes entirely no sense, and was in clear violation of constitutional law.
They need to be sent back to law school and to take a second look at the oath they made. And it was clearly a one sided political prejudice ruling.
Time to own up, the people want to know why they have to watch them continually make a mockery of the courts.
