Socialist Policing in California Works Great! More Crime, Fewer Arrests!

Crime is up in California but arrests are down. The LA Times article on the phenomena is titled, Police arrests are plummeting across California, fueling alarm and questions. There is growing and deep concern from the state officials, even though these are the same people who release criminals from prison because there is no room.

They prefer putting criminals on the streets to building new prisons or closing the border. About 72,000 non-citizen inmates are imprisoned in California and the officials do everything possible to keep them in sanctuary California. Cali officials quickly release illegal alien criminals onto the streets.

This is what Socialism looks like.

Los Angeles Police Department’s arrest numbers dipped even lower and continued to fall, dropping by 25% from 2013 to 2015, according to the LA Times.

Police recorded the lowest number of arrests in nearly 50 years, according to the California attorney general’s office.

The 21st Century Policing instituted by Barack Obama is one problem along with reduced manpower, but a significant reason is the Ferguson Effect. The LA Times even admitted it – not in so many words – though they still say Ferguson is about the shooting of an unarmed black man by a white police officer. They happily forget that Michael Brown attacked the officer shortly after Brown robbed a store and bullied the storekeep.

Since that time and since Obama instituted his new policing strategies, police are wisely not arresting these clowns because of the jeopardy they would be put in.

LAPD commission meetings are vile with contentious demonstrations. Imagine how many are actual criminals demonstrating! It works in their favor.

The LA Times quoted one motorcycle deputy: “Not to make fun of it, but a lot of guys are like, ‘Look, I’m just going to act like a fireman.’ I’m going to handle my calls for service and the things that I have to do, But going out there and making traffic stops and contacting persons who may be up to something nefarious? ‘I’m not going to do that anymore.’”

Proactive policing that could lead to more arrests and violent encounters is becoming non-existent.

California also passed laws to let felons skate. They turned some drug and property felonies into misdemeanors. Police aren’t going to take the risk to arrest criminals who will be in jail for a few months [Proposition 47, November 2014].

This is the Socialist vision of policing

Astoundingly, the LA Times says, “It is unclear why officers are making fewer arrests”.
