Stanford Walk Out on President’s Graduation Speech

On June 16, 2024, over 400 Stanford University students and their families walked out of the commencement ceremony during President Richard Saller’s speech. It was a spectacle as they marched out. No one at Stanford was waving a US flag.

The walkout was a protest for Palestine/Hamas, demanding divestment from Israel and protesting the shutdown of a 120-day sit-in for Gaza.

The most ridiculous part is when Students waved Palestinian flags and wore keffiyehs in support of the Hamas cause.

Their families went with them, pointing to the obvious. They’re pro-Hamas, also.

Many of the youth at Occupy Wall Street appeared to be mentally ill. These communists and terrorists infiltrating the protests could be exploiting emotionally disturbed youth.

This is what they are fighting for:

Last week, this man was encouraging vulnerable youth to become suicide bombers and take down the US outside the White House.

On Sunday, Stanford awarded 1,838 bachelor’s degrees, 2,575 master’s degrees, and 1,003 doctoral degrees.
That is 6,416 total. 400=6%
Facts like this are important to critical thinkers.
Other facts we should know is how many of the 400 came from each degree set; how many actually were US citizens etc.
Humorously: how many were merely sheep?

Why does the formerly conservative Stanford take in so many foreigners? Who pays the tuition? A graduation is not the place for protests on international policies.

Just out of curiosity … has anyone here ever seen a Palestinian birth certificate? Passport? Driver’s license? International airport? College or university? Has anyone here ever seen a Palestinian water treatment plant? An electric company? A think tank? A manufacturing company? Hamas is not a governing body; it is a terrorist organization. Palestine is not a nation; it is nowhere near ready to be self-sufficient. If its primary goal is to destroy Israel — then what happens? Do we assume that all those knowledgeable, experienced Palestinians can build a new country (tunnels notwithstanding) from the ground up? May we assume that those non-diploma-receiving misguided Stanford idiots will stand beside the Gazans and become nation-builders with them?

Even during Arab occupation it wasn’t called “Palestine”, but there was a “Palestine Post” which eventually became named The Jerusalem Post and began in 1932. The second issue wrote about Herr Hitler, y”s, the New German Chancellor. The next issue wrote about Jews barred from Medical Schools. Were the Arabs unable to read and write as being the reason the Palestine Post being Jewish.

You frequently bring up some historical accounts which are questionable and do not apply to the issue. This issue is about a silly graduation protest. Many maps labeled that area as Palestine until about 1948. But that does not matter, they are people who deserve a home.

There are lots of peoples on Earth who cannot support themselves well. Is your solution to take their homes and send them away? How is that progress?
