Michael Brown’s mother, grandmother, cousin and at least one other unnamed person were in a violent confrontation in a Ferguson parking lot over “I Am Mike Brown” and “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” T-shirt sales. It’s just another angry spillover in a case that has been spurred on by some truly nefarious forces.
The Ferguson case is ready to explode if Officer Darren Wilson is not indicted by the Grand Jury and he well may not be.
Evidence and a leaked autopsy indicate that Officer Brown was assaulted in his car; Brown was shot from the front; Brown’s hands were down when he was shot, and eight African-American witnesses allegedly confirmed the officers account to the Grand Jury.
The rabble-rousers in Ferguson have said they will burn Ferguson down unless Officer Brown is arrested and convicted.
The media, the Obama administration, and the communists, gangs and other assorted troublemakers have encouraged vigilante groups and ongoing violence.
Caught in the crosshairs are Michael Brown’s family.
Michael Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, is on the record as saying she does not want her son used for self-serving business sales or political actions.
The political actions are non-stop and her son’s grandmother, Pearlie Gordon, and his cousin, Tony Petty, have been selling Michael Brown t-shirts in the parking lot of Red’s BBQ according to Fox2 local.
A witness said Mrs. McSpadden and another person jumped out of a car earlier this week and yelled, “You can’t sell this [expletive].”
One of the relatives demanded she shows a document to prove she had a patent.
The person accompanying Mrs. McSpadden struck Ms. Petty in the face with a metal pipe. The same person took about $1400 in cash from them, according to the witness.
Police were called but no arrests have been made.
There might have been surveillance cameras.
It’s hard not to feel sorry for Mrs. McSpadden. She lost her 18-year old son. She believes, rightly or wrongly, that he was murdered by a police officer. She has been exploited in her misery by the likes of Al Sharpton and thugs who care nothing about Michael Brown.
For the administration, it’s a way to turn out minority voters in a midterm election which usually has low turnout. Michael Brown’s death is being used to get-out-the-vote.
If this latest story is accurate, the vigilantism, the violence, assaults, and thefts are just wrong. There are better ways to handle the situation. It’s time for the troublemakers to leave and let Mrs. McSpadden and her family mourn.
It’s time for our administration to stop demonizing police and exploiting victims for political expediency.
