CAIR, the Muslim organization tied to the terrorist organizations Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, praised Mr. Obama’s speech at the Prayer Breakfast during which Obama drew moral equivalence between ISIS committing heinous crimes today and the “crimes” of Christian Crusaders a 1000 years ago.
Mr. Obama was historically incorrect and his comparison seeks to take one situation completely out of its time and bring it into the present, but his most egregious error is distracting from the real problem which is radical Islam today, which also happened to be a problem a thousand years ago.
CAIR’s headline on their website reads, “CAIR Welcomes President Obama’s Prayer Breakfast Remarks on Islam, Urges Visit to U.S. Mosque.”
What impressed CAIR is this statement:
“Lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”
CAIR is the guardian of the faux Islamophobia problem in the United States.
The article continued:
“We thank President Obama for clearly separating the brutal actions of ISIS from the faith of Islam and for reminding us all that violence and injustice are not part of any faith,” said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad (pictured below).
There is no attempt by Americans to link all Muslims to radical Muslims. Mr. Obama continually uses this non-problem of Islamophobia to distract from the problem of radical Islam.
He doesn’t want to recognize it because he doesn’t want to deal with it.
In Germany this day, John Kerry again denied terrorists are radical Islamists and claimed their actions are “criminal”, the implication being extremism as he puts it is merely a crime.
Watch this brief clip, it’s maddening:
CAIR is tied to terrorist organizations and you can find extensive details on this link. Below are a few examples of this “moderate” organization’s true purpose.
Co-founder and Executive Director of CAIR, Nihad Awad asserted at a 1994 meeting at Barry University, “I am a supporter of the Hamas movement.”
Awad wrote in the Muslim World Monitor that the 1994 trial – which had resulted in the conviction of four Islamic fundamentalist terrorists who had perpetrated the previous year’s World Trade Center bombing – was “a travesty of justice.”
FBI wiretap evidence which was introduced during the 2007 trial of the Holy Land Foundation (a trial that explored HLF’s financial ties to Hamas), proved that Nihad Awad had attended a 1993 Philadelphia meeting of Hamas leaders and operatives who collaborated on a plan to disguise funding for Hamas as charitable donations.
CAIR co-founder and Chairman Emeritus Omar Ahmad was named, in the same 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial, as an unindicted co-conspirator with HLF. During the trial, evidence was supplied proving that Ahmad had attended, along with Nihad Awad, the aforementioned 1993 Philadelphia meeting of Hamas leaders and operatives. Moreover, prosecutors described Ahmad as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood’s “Palestine Committee” in America.
On September 17, 2003, U.S. Senator Charles Schumer stated that CAIR co-founders Nihad Awad and Omar Ahmad have “intimate links with Hamas.” He later remarked that “we know [CAIR] has ties to terrorism.”
Nihad Awad, has praised the release of convicted Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Sami Al-Arian in tweets, one in Arabic and one in English. The Arabic version used an anti-Israel meme, blaming the powerful Israeli lobby for the terrorist’s imprisonment.
Al-Arian conspired to provide services to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a terrorist organization.
Awad supported Al-Arian because the CAIR leader is a supporter of terrorism (according to the FBI).
During a panel discussion at Barry University in Florida, Nihad Awad said: “I used to support the PLO, and I used to be the President of the General Union of Palestine Students which is part of the PLO here in the United States, but after I researched the situation inside Palestine and outside, I am in support of the Hamas movement more than the PLO.”
The Government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA and NAIT with HLF, the Islamic Association for Palestine (“IAP”), and with Hamas.
They continually indict themselves.
More quotes from CAIR leaders:
Mustafa Carroll, executive director of the Dallas-Fort Worth CAIR branch, said “If we are practicing Muslims, we are above the law of the land.” It’s a clear reference to Sharia law as supreme over U.S. law.
Omar Ahmad, CAIR’s chairman, announced in July 1998 that “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran … should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.”
Ihsan Bagby, a future CAIR board member, stated in the late 1980s that Muslims “can never be full citizens of this country,” referring to the United States, “because there is no way we can be fully committed to the institutions and ideologies of this country.”
In October 12, 2001, Ghazi Kankan, executive director of CAIR’s New York office at the time, defended Hamas’s targeting of Israeli civilians. He told the Jewish Week that, like Hamas, he considered all Israelis over the age of 18 to be “military” because “they are all reserves.”
There is an article on CAIR’s website called “The Zionist Attack on Jewish Values” by Lawrence Davidson, professor of Middle East history, West Chester University.
It ends in calling for boycott, divestment, and sanctions of Israel. BDS as it is called is a Hamas movement.
Davidson is popular with the Electronic Intifada and Intifada-Palestine.com, where he talks about the “Israeli lobby.”
CAIR has self-identified as an enemy of Israel, and they have openly declared themselves to be a friend of Islamist terrorists.
CAIR pretends to be a moderate Muslim civil rights group – they are anything but. They play the role of shutting down anything that would limit the progress of Hamas and the Brotherhood in this country.
They sue anyone who is perceived as insulting Islam and they push to silence all opposition as Islamophobia.
The organization has made news in the past for applauding West Point for pulling the speaking invite for a General critical of Islam, defending Muslims on the government no-fly list, and members calling for Americans to stop associating 9/11 with the Muslim religion.
In summary, Barack Obama displeased most everyone with his comments at the prayer breakfast but he won’t apologize because the people he aligns with, as described above, are pleased.
