The Dangerous Drivers of the American Trucking Industry

Since 2021, the Biden administration’s open-border policies allowed fake asylum applicants to quickly get work permits. They have been used to obtain commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs).

It has flooded the trucking industry with “hundreds of thousands” of non-citizen drivers.  Many don’t have training, language skills, or vetting needed to safely operate 80,000-pound rigs. Many can’t read road signs.

What does hundreds of thousands of unqualified truck drivers do to safety? Some can’t read highway signs and have fake licenses.

It deprives Americans of jobs and lowers their wages.

The trucking industry is in recession for three years due to slave wages for foreign drivers. Small American trucking firms can’t compete.

Immigration law is generally not enforced on highways. All of these trucks driven by foreigners have little immigration oversight.

Contact your legislators, but don’t count on Democrat legislators caring.

I’ve been complaining for years that many truck drivers can’t drive; they’re incompetent and dangerous, and I try to keep away from them on the highway. Now, I understand why.

We have been driving up and down the interstate from New York to Florida and everything in between for almost 50 years. For the past several years we’ve noticed a change in the manner of which they drive those rigs. It’s frightening at times. The fact that many can’t read or speak English puts a whole new spin on our… Read more »

I use to travel allot with my small children, the truck drivers were great, always seemed to be watching out for us, now I don’t even like to travel, we’ve seen way too many truck drivers change lanes in front of us when there’s no room. They scare me

You’re right. My dad was a proud truck driver until he died. He taught us so much when it came to sharing the road with truck drivers. We had a great deal of respect for them. They wrote songs about truckers. Back in the day I had my own CB radio to listen to them giving updates about road conditions,… Read more »
