Javier Milei’s Libertarian government had two approaches to straightening out their bloated government and deal with hyperinflation. They came up with 30% cuts in big government. Then, they came up with Chainsaw 2.0, dubbed Deep Chainsaw.
Deep Chainsaw involves a simple question: What should a Libertarian government do or not do? If it is something the private sector can do, then we shouldn’t do it.
Examples included housing, which reminds us New Yorkers of Gov. Hochul’s move to build 800,000 units in high-rises in quaint towns with single-family homes on Long Island. They aren’t built for long-suffering impoverished black people in New York City. They are for illegal aliens and to ruin single-family home communities.
The Argentinian administration is going through the whole government and asking employees what they do. If it is on the list of things a Libertarian government should not do, they shut down the area. Then, they move on.
What do you think?
This is awesome

Milei is an interesting character. He’s totally bound up to his local rabbi. He cried like a baby at the obligatory trip to the wailing wall.
He “disappeared” Argentina’s gold bullion supply in a hush-hush move and he has claimed he sent it to where he could earn a return on it (England?). Any one hear confirmed details? I wonder if he has a “finder’s fee” for all that gold deposited in a numbered account somewhere (Vatican?).
Interesting character indeed.
2 simple steps to be taken at the same time, that have been ignored for decades:
A. Bring the efficiencies of modern business to government. As many as 2/3 of government employees are unnecessary because of archaic practices and of entrenched bureaucrat’s who protect the fiefdoms the have created. while maintaining inefficient practices..(Like the old rail unions and feather bedding. the unions for government workers support more workers doing little.)
B. Get rid or governmental over regulation, with people who do not know business trying to tell business how to rum. (The inefficient trying to tell the efficient what to do),
