About a week ago, Elizabeth Warren fired off a condemnation of a Wall Street billionaire to her 2.5 million followers. The “hedge fund billionaire” in question was appointed as one of Donald Trump’s financial industry insiders. She was furious.
The appointee, Whitney Tilson who runs Kase Capital, became the object of her wrath with statements like “Tilson knows that, despite all the students and rhetoric, Donald Trump isn’t going to change the economic system. The next four years are going to be a bonanza for the Whitney Tilsons of the world.”
The evil billionaire, Mr. Tilson, isn’t a billionaire, and he helped start Teach for America. He actively seeks new regulations for the industry. He donated to Mrs. Clinton to see Warren speak at a campaign fundraiser. He’s a fan.
“I’ve donated money to her, attended her events, and did everything in my power to stop Donald Trump,” Tilson told the NY Times. He was dismayed by her comments, apparently not realizing she’s an incompetent fool. “In addition I agree with her 100 percent that large swaths of the financial industry have run amok and prey on vulnerable Americans…”
It gets worse. Both of the Tilsons sent letters to Ms. Warren last week and asked her to remove her Facebook post. Through an aide, she relayed the message that she would take out the word, “billionaire”. She wouldn’t remove the post!
Her hate and irrationality know no bounds.
Mr. Tilson told the Times he feels “betrayed”. He “stuck his neck out for her”.
Mr. Tilson added: “By engaging in factually incorrect, ad hominem attacks, she’s getting down into the gutter with Trump. This is misguided and counterproductive.”
He still supports her though.
He added that her Facebook post, coupled with her response, “certainly reduces my enthusiasm for her.”
He’s a dupe. How do you support someone like this?
Update: Warren finally deleted the post at about 4;30pm EST. They probably had to give her some electric shocks to get her to do it. This is her supporter mind you.
