Trump Can Only Score Knockouts And Here’s the Reason Why

trump knockout

Trump scored another win last night though some of his significant policy weaknesses and blaring misstatements were made obvious by Senators Rubio and Cruz. Anyone else would have crashed and burned but instead, because it’s Donald Trump, everyone marveled at how well he withstood the onslaught.

Trump cleverly lobbed many of the criticisms back at this opponents and refused to be ruffled. Attacks bounced off his teflon armor and by morning he launched a shock and awe campaign starring Chris Christie.

Americans are fed up and don’t care that Trump says we’re going to be a “greedy” nation that “grabs, grabs, grabs” and they ignore the fact that the wall is now up to about 40 feet. In fact, the higher the better. Four-letter-word-loving Trump condemning the vulgarity of a former Mexican president is just another fun moment in a lot of fun moments as we all imagine the establishment cringing and squirming the way we’ve been squirming as our savings evaporate and our jobs disappear.

While Obama was trashing the Constitution, the Democrats cheered him on and the GOP hid behind their burning desire to keep the government from shutting down. While they were keeping the government open, we were all praying for it to close.

The establishment in both parties might not care that the country is collapsing around them but the rest of us do.

Bloomberg political analyst Don Frederick put out a concise list of the things Americans are fed up with and why we might have Donald Trump as our Republican presidential candidate and why an angry old socialist like Bernie Sanders is cuddled like an adorable pet. You can probably add to it.

  • Anyone named Bush
  • Anyone named Clinton

Phony “official” unemployment and inflation figures
  • Welfare waste and fraud

Wall Street crooks like Jon Corzine

. . .and that’s just the short list.

Last night was not very presidential by most standards but what has presidential morphed into? It’s politically correct establishment types spouting off the talking points we have all heard before. It’s like a predictable play where viewers can repeat the lines before the actors. In a way, the Thursday debate was refreshing but maybe that’s what the Romans said before the Christians were fed to the lions.

There was little political correctness except for the spoutings of Big Government purveyor John Kasich. He was praised for being the “adult” but he was boring and he didn’t win.

The establishment has been dropping hints that a Trump-Kasich ticket would be a great idea. At least they’d have their foot in the door if Trump goes off the rails and gets impeached. It keeps the establishment half-alive.

The establishment doesn’t realize it but they are the third party. They forgot their roots and they left the people. We didn’t leave them. So now we all sit around and watch with glee as they drop like ducks in a shooting gallery.

My friend called me and said the debate was like watching the WBC [World Boxing Council]. Trump even came in with a guy holding a big Trump sign up behind him. If Trump came out in flashy multi-colored trunks, would we have been all that surprised?

Rubio and Cruz were caught shaking hands despite incredible prior animosity but hard as they tried, they probably didn’t topple the king.

It’s not much different in the Democrat party. If it wasn’t for the corrupt party bosses who pose as Super Delegates, Hillary would be tied with the outlandish Bernie Sanders. Each Super Delegate is equivalent to 60,000 voters.

The primary isn’t over but the only two contenders in the GOP race are anti-establishment and the establishment still doesn’t seem to know what hit them.

Trump can’t be knocked out simply with revelations of what he is because everyone knows what he is, and for better or worse, they see him as someone who will “make America great again” with shark-like precision.

Cruz and Rubio sort of get it but they didn’t get it until the 10th round. The fight is about to be called and the most brutal fighter is about to score a knockout punch as the establishment, who only a few short months ago praised themselves for financing all of Obama’s lousy agenda, watches in dismay.

This is a montage of last night’s brawl but it’s not the same as seeing it from beginning to end live in real time.
