Trump came out swinging

Business Insider describes Trump as “raging” and the hill says Trump has launched an all-out assault against Mueller though Mueller appears to be the one on the offensive. The NY Times is leaking alleged conversations involving, what else, Russia, In this case it concerns the Russian ambassador and Jeff Sessions.

The corruption of the media, and potentially Mueller’s team, do merit anger in the White House. The assault has been daily, sometimes several times a day. Most tales spread by MSM are untrue or exaggerations.

Trump tweeted this earlier about today’s WaPo leak.

He is referring to a story that current and former U.S. officials told WaPo U.S. spy agencies had intercepted conversations between Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and his superiors that allegedly reveal he and Sessions discussed the 2016 campaign.

According to one former official, the ambassador and Sessions talked about Trump and his position on Russia, as well as how relations between the two countries would look with Trump as president. This allegedly took place during a meeting in April 2016 at the Washington, D.C,. Mayflower Hotel before Trump gave his foreign policy speech, and another time during the Republican National Convention.

The article is very deceptively worded. They suggest Sessions discussed the campaign and then, in the next sentence, say Kislyak said they did talk. About what?

That’s a serious accusation. Sessions said nothing of this nature took place.

This could be untrue, it’s likely untrue. Most of the MSMS news about the Russia story is fake as Jim Comey testified, but that won’t stop MSM from continuing the onslaught.

Trump later tweeted this about the NY Times:

Trump is likely referring to a story that appeared on Fox & Friends.

At a security conference in Aspen, General Tony Thomas – head of the US military’s Special Operations Command – reportedly said that American forces at one point came “particularly close” to Baghdadi after a 2015 raid recovered information about ISIS.

Fox News reported that General Thomas said US troops had “a very good lead” on al-Baghdadi’s whereabouts.

“Unfortunately, it was leaked in a prominent national newspaper about a week later and that lead went dead,” General Thomas reportedly said at the forum.

Also in the media in the past couple days is an anonymous report that Trump and his advisers are looking into whether Trump can pardon staff and himself.

Trump tweeted about that, stating the obvious:

It doesn’t sound like Trump is “raging” though he has every right to do so. He appears to be trying to set the record straight.

The President then tweeted questions on many peoples’ minds.
