Donald Trump Green Lights Pipelines, Expedites Regulatory Process!

President Donald Trump has given the green light to the Keystone XL Pipeline and the Dakota access pipeline. He gave the go-ahead for construction of the oil pipelines which became the center of controversy for those who sought to end the use of fossil fuels as energy sources.

He signed executive orders for both and to expedite the regulatory process.

The State Department rejected a permit for the Keystone pipeline from Canada, and President Obama ordered work halted on the Dakota pipeline in his last days in office after Native American groups and other leftists protested.

“The regulatory process in this country has become a tangled mess”, Trump said Tuesday. “It’s very unfair to people”.

He said he will “expedite all environmental approvals and reviews.”

As he signed the executive orders, he told the press in the presence of his key advisors, “This is the expediting of environmental reviews and approvals for high-priority infrastructure projects. We intend to fix our country, our bridges, our roadways. We can’t be in an environmental process for 15 years if a bridge is going to be falling down or if a highway is crumbling. So we are expediting environmental reviews and approvals. Okay. Thank you very much.”

In remarks to automakers on Tuesday morning, Trump declared as an environmentalist, but added, “It’s out of control, and we’re going to make a very short process, and we’re going to either give you your permits or we’re not going to give you your permits, but you’re going to know very quickly.”

The automakers and the President said the meeting this morning went very well.

We are bringing manufacturing back to the U.S.
