Trump Is “Stunned” by Putin’s Invasion, He’s “Changed”

Donald Trump spoke with Donald Drucker of The Washington Examiner by phone and told him that he was “stunned” that Russian President Putin invaded Ukraine. He thought Putin was negotiating when he sent troops.

“I’m surprised — I’m surprised. I thought he was negotiating when he sent his troops to the border. I thought he was negotiating,” Trump said. He added, “I thought it was a tough way to negotiate but a smart way to negotiate.”

“I figured he was going to make a good deal like everybody else does with the United States and the other people they tend to deal with — you know, like every trade deal. We’ve never made a good trade deal until I came along,” Trump added. “And then he went in — and I think he’s changed. I think he’s changed. It’s a very sad thing for the world. He’s very much changed.”

NO ONE WAS TOUGHER THAN HE WAS WITH RUSSIA

He was offended by claims that he downplayed his criticisms of Putin.

“I’ve been very, very tough on Putin. I get a bad rap on that,” Trump said, repeating his earlier claims that Putin would never have invaded Ukraine if he were still in office out of fear of how Trump would respond. “At the same time, I got along with him very well. But I got along with most [world leaders] very well.”

Democrats and Never Trumpers kept trying to impeach Donald Trump over what we now know were specious arguments and false evidence.

Trump approved sending lethal military assistance to Ukraine to help the country ramp up defenses against Russia. He also opposed the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline from Russia to Germany since it would help fund Russia’s military and make Europe subservient to them. Biden did the opposite, like approving the pipelines.

“When you think of it, who was tougher on Russia than me?” Trump asked.

I have been keeping a close eye on DeSantis, and usually have had a favorable opinion of the guy. That might change, however, due to some of his recent comments when asked about the topic of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Not once have I heard DeSantis admit or acknowledge that this conflict is the direct fault of the neocon war mongering cabal and their malicious and relentless expansion of NATO and due to their clearly hostile and recklessly provocative plans to make Ukraine a NATO member and then be be able to establish US Military bases on Russia’s border, with the dangerous intent to place US missile delivery systems on those bases that would be able to launch nukes into Russia.

These diabolically evil, Russia hating, Putin hating neocons are refusing to respect the perfectly legitimate, perfectly rational and reasonable national security concerns of Putin and Putin has wasted over 8 years trying to work out a mutually satisfying security agreement on this issue, and they have been refusing to cooperate.

It’s pretty clear that these neocons have been stonewalling and dragging their feet, to give them time to achieve their goal of placing nukes on Russia’s border – and this is proof that they are planning on launching a preemptive nuclear strike on Russia that, due to the close proximity, Russia would not have time to respond or retaliate in self-defense.

DeSantis is parroting the same war mongering, Deep State party line as these mentally insane neocon psychopaths who are trying to kick off a nuclear WW3 with Russia.

Like another poster said…..tired of seeing Russian folks in the Donbas region getting raped and murdered….while no one batted an eye. Now he does something, and George Soros, Lindsey Graham, Sean Hannity, Hillary Clinton, Trump, and all these guys want him out?!?

We’ve been lied to so many times, but this time they’re telling the truth on Ukraine???

Aren’t these the same people who made Afghanistan happen….drone striking an aid worker and his children?

Hypocrites. You call out against one country, meanwhile your own country is morally in the toilet.

That is Trump’s public position.

He may not have been well informed on events. We don’t know what our Intel withheld from him about Ukraine, we know they wanted to remove him. They would have downplayed the interference they were engaged in there.

On negotiations, I think it was the US that was not negotiating, and giving Ukraine billions to also not do so.

Surprisingly the Ukrainians weren’t very enthusiastic about the EuroMaidan situation. It would be interesting to see whether it is still true today.

Has Putin really changed; not according to his statements since over a decade ago. It beginning to seem like Trump is leaning more to the NeoCons. He has repeatedly condemned McConnell, but I haven’t heard him say one negative thing about Lindsey Graham. Some of his endorsements have been rather questionable also. I’ve been having some concerns in a new Administration with him. Will he begin acting like the typical politician and forget what made him attractive to so many. He’s sounding far too obsessed with the past, which isn’t a good sign for any leader.

I would say he relies far too much on Fox (News). They haven’t done any real news for quite some time, and only occasionally when Catherine Herridge did reports.
