Trump Meeting With Mexico’s President Should Be Interesting Given the Foreign Minister’s Interview

The meeting today between Donald Trump and Mexico’s president will also include former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani, SenatorSessions, Jared Kushner [Trump’s son-in-law] & Mexico’s Foreign Minister, perhaps others.

Mexico’s foreign minister Claudia Ruiz Massieu dismissed any possibility of their paying for the wall as absurd.

“Well, that’s absurd; we would never consider that,” Ruiz Massieu said in an interview with ABC News chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl.

“I think that’s the real issue here. It’s not a problem about a wall. It is a problem about narrow minds,” she said. “We have a very integrated economy that would suffer greatly if we place barriers into that dynamic.”

Would those barriers be the wall? The US is not allowed to protect its borders so Mexico can enrich its economy and fill its coffers?

She said the Mexican community is contributing to the United States’ “development and growth.” That was in reference to Trump’s statement in June, 2015: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best… They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

“I really have to object to that characterization,” Mexico’s foreign minister said. “Our community in the United States is comprised of over 35 million people; not only thousands of agricultural workers…but increasingly, professional and highly trained people.”

Ruiz Massieu said Mexican Americans across professional industries have a large, positive impact on the U.S. economy.

“We’re talking about lawyers,” she said. “We’re talking about designers in Silicon Valley. We’re talking about medical professionals. We’re talking about Oscar winners. We’re talking about people that are contributing through their work.”

Does that mean we can’t have borders, even though terrorists and drug cartels are coming across along with many who can’t support themselves?

She claims Mexico will work with any US president.

Let us not forget this link below since the Mexicans obviously have. How broadminded do we have to be? They don’t allow illegal immigrants in their country — they have tough penalties.

  1. Name calling such as narrow minded will not get Mexico anywhere. Mexico is an incredibly corrupt, murderous, backwards, racist, top heavy, … nation, that is invading and stealing from us, Mexico is the narrow minded nation.

Mexico needs to make concessions today.

    • I just added a link to that article. This entire meeting is probably a trap. They have vested interests in keeping our borders open while theirs are closed.

  2. “Mexico’s foreign minister Claudia Ruiz Massieu dismissed any possibility of their paying for the wall as absurd” WELL I say the U.S. should cut off the millions in foreign aid to mexico for starters.
