Trump Says “Don’t Worry” While Obamacare “Implodes” and “Explodes”

After the failed effort to pass a Republican healthcare bill, President Trump said, he “wants great healthcare for the people of this nation”, but Obamacare is “imploding and soon will explode. It’s not going to be pretty”.

The President thinks the Democrats will reach out when it fails and Republicans will be ready.

Democrats, of course, want single payer government healthcare.

Donald Trump is moving on.

“We’re probably going for tax reform. We could have done it earlier but this would have worked out better. Now we’re going for tax reform, which I always liked.”

His confidence in Speaker Ryan has not waned, explaining that there are a “lot of different factions”.

“A long history of liking and disliking even within the Republican Party, long before I got here. But I’ve had a great relationship with the Republican Party. Both sides like Trump. That’s good. You can see that more clearly than anybody. I’m not going to speak badly about anybody within the party. Certainly a big history. I think Paul really worked hard. I would say that we will probably start going very, very strongly for the big tax cuts and tax reform. That will be next.”

It seems we should give Speaker Ryan good reviews for effort.

Trump was asked if he was going to let Obamacare “explode”

“It’s going to happen,” he assured Neil. “Not much you can do about it. Bad things are going to happen to ObamaCare. There’s not much you can do to help it. I’ve been saying that for 1 and-a-half years. I said look, eventually it’s not sustainable. The insurance companies are leaving. You know that. They’re leaving one by one as quick as you can leave. You have states in some cases soon won’t be covered. quick as you can leave. You have states in some cases soon won’t be covered. So there’s no way out of that.”

He continued. “The one thing that was happening as we got closer and closer, everybody was talking about how wonderful it was. Now it will go back to real life. People will see how bad it is. It’s getting much worse. So there’s no way out of that. The one thing that was happening as we got closer and closer, everybody was talking about how wonderful it was. Now it will go back to real life. People will see how bad it is. It’s getting much worse. So there’s no way out of that. The one thing that was happening as we got closer and closer, everybody was talking about how wonderful it was. Now it will go back to real life. People will see how bad it is.”

What we have to look forward to is it will get much worse.

“It’s getting much worse. I said the other day when President Obama left – ’17 he knew he wasn’t going to be here – ’17 is going to be a very bad year for ObamaCare. Very bad year for ObamaCare. Very bad. You’ll have explosive premium increases. You’ll have explosive premium increases. Your deductibles are so high people won’t use it.”

Don’t worry, Democrats are really good people.

“They’ll go with that. I know some of the Democrats. They’re good people. I honestly believe the Democrats will say let’s get a great health care bill or plan that is really great for the people of our country. I think that’s going to happen.”

The Republicans could pass a bill without Democrats and reporters wanted to know why Trump couldn’t get a bill passed.

“We were very close. 10-15 votes short. Could have been closer than that. You never know because you never know how they vote. In the end, would have been 10 votes or maybe closer. Very hard to get almost 100%. You’re talking about a very, very large number of votes. Among any group. We were close to doing it. When you get no votes from the other side, meaning the Democrats, it’s a difficult situation.”

Close but no cigar.

“We have to let ObamaCare go its way for a while,” Trump added. “I’d love to see it do well, but it can’t…I hope it does well. I would love it to do well. I want great healthcare for the people of this nation. But it can’t do well. It’s imploding and soon will explode. It’s not going to be pretty. The Democrats don’t want to see that. So they will reach out when they’re ready. When they’re ready, we’re ready.”
