Walid Phares, a top-foreign policy adviser to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, said the Trump administration will sign a bill that designates the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.

Phares told Egyptian Youm7 on Wednesday that: “Trump considers the Muslim Brotherhood a dangerous group that fuels the Jihadist ideology, thus he seeks for a military strike against the group and will not politically contain the group as Obama and H. Clinton did”.

In February, the US House Judiciary Committee approved legislation calling for the US State Department to designate the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt as a foreign terrorist organization.

The State Department has done nothing.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have called the Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

If Trump does do this, what becomes of all of those employees at DHS? Then there are the poisonous little offspring groups like CAIR and ISNA for example, like the ones that are banned in Egypt, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

Early Wednesday morning, Hussam Ayloush, head of the Council on American Islamic Relations’ Los Angeles office, tweeted this:

You won’t like the translation from Wikipedia.

Ash-shaʻb yurīd isqāṭ an-niẓām means “the people want to bring down the regime”. It is a political slogan associated with the Arab Spring. The slogan first emerged during the Tunisian Revolution.

It’s unclear what he is referencing here but he has been to the White House twice.

The Obama administration and Hillary Clinton colluded with the Brotherhood during the Arab Spring in Egypt and in Libya. Huma Abedin, Hillary’s closest advisor, has a late father, mother, brother and sister closely tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda-linked organizations.

In 2013, Senator John McCain met with various rebels in a safe-house in Syria. Among those present was Islamic State leader al-Baghdad according to this report and the attached photo.

  1. the mb transitioned to politics years ago and largely left their gunslinging days behind them; but the house of saud continues to fund and support madrassas in pakistan where the talibs get their r&r. two americans were killed yesterday
in another taliban suicide bombing that had nothing to do with the muslim brotherhood.

most of the 9-11 dream team were saudi, and the paki’s kept mr. laden in a quaint b&b for ten years until the obama administration reckoned they needed a boost in their foreign policy ratings. it should be noted that almost all of the muslim world, including saudi arabia and the g.c.c countries, adhere to ‘sunni’ islam while ‘iran’ (the world’s leading sponser of terror) is entirely shia; we have been fighting the mullahs war for them since we invaded and occupied afghanistan.

the very fact that mr. phares advocates another ‘military strike’ against an new ephemeral enemy in the middle east is evidence of his neo-con affinity; sorry, but i thought the idea was to restore ‘our’ country to greatness…b

      • pharis or trump? my litmus test is that in a given situation fewer people die; and my hope in the new administration has always been that as a businessman, mr. trump would seek strong alliances with world leaders by offering prosperity
instead of sanction. he’s hawkish on isis as he should be. but it shouldn’t go farther than that for now imh…b

          • his voice was one of many clamoring for mr. assad to ‘step down’ in 2011. everyone understands that’s code for “we want our own criminals running your country.” egypt was a perfect case study. when we offered mr. mubarak a different place at the dinner table, the urban dreamers went to tahrir and demanded a change in the weather; so the good general gave them mr. morsi. what the ‘intellectuals’ didn’t realize was that the muslim brotherhood had orchestrated the architecture of the protests ‘and’ the election; so when the prospect of sharia law sent the same crybabies back to the wailing wall, mr. al sisi assumed the mantle of governance.

when a country’s military acquires control yet continues to recognize the constitution you have a stratocracy, think myanmar (burma). unfortunately ms. noble, the similarities are unsettling…b
