Twitter-Verse Doesn’t Like ‘You’ve Got a Friend’ As a Foreign Policy

You’ll be happy to know we are now helping ISIS recruit. They will play “You’ve Got a Friend” in their ads and tell their future fighters that this is how the U.S. fights.

Gretchen Carlson asked Ambassador Bolton about Secretary of State John Kerry going over to France to give them a hug in way of an apology for not attending the march on Sunday and, stranger yet, bringing James Taylor to Paris to sing “You’ve Got a Friend” as an act of diplomacy. Amb. Bolton said “the only thing that I can think of that would be worse is if John Kerry sang the song himself”.

The twitter verse is almost unanimous in their condemnation of how John Kerry chose to apologize for not marching on Sunday. Going over to “hug”, “kiss” and have James Taylor sing, “You’ve Got a Friend” was embarrassing. Kerry spoke bad French again to make it worse.

In Kerry’s world – his Ivory Tower – the faux intellectuals he hangs with probably praised the move.
