Senator John Hoffman and Representative Melissa Hortman were shot at their respective homes this morning. The suspect is on the run. He was dressed as a police officer. Their spouses were also shot. Rep. Hortman and her husband are deceased. The Hoffmans will hopefully survive.
It seems like there is more than one murderer.

Most of the “No Kings” rallies in Minnesota were canceled.
The Minnesota State Patrol is urging the public to say away from any of Saturday’s planned “No Kings” protests because fliers for events were found in the suspect’s vehicle. Officials say a manifesto with the names of other politicians, including U.S. Sen. Tina Smith, was also inside.
It’s first degree murder and attempted murder.
THE STORY
The latest information is that tragically the House Leader Melissa Hortman and her husband were murdered in what is now described as a politically motivated murder.
Sen. Hoffman and his wife, reportedly friends of the Hortmans and members of the Farmers’ Labor Party, underwent surgery and doctors are “cautiously optimistic” that they will survive. They were shot multiple times.
The suspect, according to the alert, is a white man with brown hair wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants. Authorities are asking residents not to approach the suspect if spotted.
Police say they were targeted shootings.
The following post is incorrect. Only Rep. Hortman voted to repeal the free healthcare for illegal aliens. Sen. Hoffman did not.

“Horrific!” President Trump said in a statement shared with the New York Times Saturday.
“Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America,” Trump added. “God Bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place!”
Attorney General Pam Bondi is working with law enforcement to bring the perpetrator to justice.

According to Minnesota authorities, flyers for the “No Kings” movement were discovered inside the vehicle of the individual suspected of assassinating State Representative Melissa Hortman.
