The Hill has updated information about Julian Assange turning himself in to the US. Julian Assange’s attorney said Obama’s commutation of Chelsea Manning’s sentence does not meet the requirements of his offer to be extradited to the US provided Manning were pardoned.
“Mr. Assange welcomes the announcement that Ms. Manning’s sentence will be reduced and she will be released in May, but this is well short of what he sought,” said Barry Pollack, Assange’s U.S.-based attorney, via email.
“Mr. Assange had called for Chelsea Manning to receive clemency and be released immediately.”
Maybe Assange’s lawyer talked some sense into him or he was a faker all along.
Assange is still happy to come to the US provided all his rights are guarenteed despite White House now saying Manning was not quid-quo-pro.

Mr. Obama said this afternoon that he “doesn’t pay much attention to Mr. Assange’s tweets” among other lies.
Assange saw his comments as a “smear”. We see it as a typical Obama lie. And he said it right before he said we have to be transparent. Obama’s such a joke.
