WaPo Pushes 15-Minute Cities- Out of Cars- Into Climate Lockdowns

CIA mouthpiece, The Washington Post, is promoting 15-Minute cities in the suburbs, which is what the UN and World Economic Forum have promoted for some time.

It begins with this cheery message:

Cities are in a hurry. Many are declaring themselves 15-minute metros, promising access to housing, shopping, schools, and jobs within a 15-minute-or-so walk, bike or transit ride. And who wouldn’t want to live nearly next door to life’s pleasures and necessities?

He then listed a handful of globalist cities as examples. The author claims people falsely claim it will “imprison people,” and it reduces our dependence on cars, and gives us free time.

He was putting lipstick on the pig.

The UN, WEF, all the globalist organizations want high-density housing and a phasing out of single family dwellings with yards. That’s why they attack zoning laws. The UN wants to destroy capitalism and private ownership of property. They’ve been clear about that.

The Left has a dystopian carless plan for the masses to live in compact cities. They’ll pretend people are overreacting or conspiratorial, but this is happening.

THE 15-MINUTE CITY

So businesses will literally have only customers within the 15 minute distance of your location. That sure seems like limiting ones’ personal choices.

High oil prices keep the Russian and Iranian war machines humming. If oil dropped to $35bbl, there would be a lot more peace in the world.

The Russians loved the high rises that they stuffed everyone into as they made them leave the countryside. You could stand in the foyer of each floor of the apartment building and hear what all your neighbors were saying! How convenient before tech listened to us all. And the one elevator always smelled of urine because the drunk husbands who were jobless couldn’t hold it until they got to their flat. USA , you are warned.

I suppose if we ignore how societies are formed and completely disavow the Industrial Revolution, everything will be keen. Turning humans into Gold fish is a great thought experiment, but, there will never be a payoff.

Everything we need, will be in our 15 minute city? Yes? How will it be, that the human genome can be rewritten so humans are less inclined toward efficiency? We may remove Adam Smith’s book, “The Wealth of Nations” from the library, but, we can not escape the “invisible hand”.

“The notion of the invisible hand has been employed in economics and other social sciences to explain the division of labor, the emergence of a medium of exchange, the growth of wealth, the patterns such as price levels) manifest in market competition, and the institutions and rules of society. More controversially, it has been used to argue that free markets, made up of economic agents who act in their own self-interest, deliver the best possible social and economic outcomes.”

Those progressives, they like going backwards.
