Watch a 65-year-old Texas woman tackled and handcuffed after refusing to leave a Galveston Bank of America branch that requires customers to wear a mask.

A Galveston police officer arrived at the scene and told the woman, Terry White, that she had to wear the mask.

Governor Abbott lifted a statewide mask mandate but private businesses can keep the requirements.

The woman wouldn’t leave and the officer tried to usher her out. She wasn’t cooperating so he eventually tried to arrest her. She appears to have refused to put her hands behind her back.

“Back up! Back up! Some old lady is getting handcuffed here!” the woman yells as she is tackled and cuffed. No one appeared to care.

White faces charges of criminal trespass and resisting arrest, but Governor Abbott’s directive states that refusing to wear a mask isn’t enough for criminal charges.

The woman also said the officer broke her foot. She was treated at a local hospital.

Wow….this is OUT OF CONTROL…that woman had zero help from anyone…seriously…she wasn’t bothering anyone and was rounded up and arrested because someone snitched- Soviet Russia anyone? Anyone?

Arbitrary and capricious…little independent dictatorships, conditioned nicely for well over a year, receiving COVID MONEY from the Central Government!

Is it not enough the Governors crowned themselves, that the bought off businesses have free reign to crown themselves too?

…wow…

Bet you’d have been outraged if the cop had been “killed in the line of duty” though…
Can’t have it both ways.

She should have stuck to allowed activities like looting and arson.

I don’t wear the ineffective masks anywhere. The government has no authority to force them. However BOA is private property and it is their right to require masks. Her solution would be to draw her money out of BOA and go elsewhere. I would have done that with or without the mask requirement if for no other reason than the story I read how BOA shares your records with the government.

Yes, withdraw your money and find a Bank who does not require a mask to enter their business. Such banks who are brave enough to not require one should also advertise this option.

Well said brother. And I hope all freedom loving American’s that viewed this arrest taking place, do the same thing … IMMEDIATELY.

ARE they private property since they got bailed out on my tax dollars?
Aren’t I part owner of that corporation now? Isn’t that true, social justice? I know the racist system won’t agree with that sentiment, but cops aren’t supposed to support the racist system anymore…

Pretty sure borders aren’t borders and banks aren’t private companies in the current year.

That has completely handled wrong written all over it. Like the poor woman was a real threat to life & limb of that officer.

Failing to comply with a lawful order by police is a legal cause for arrest. What do you suggest was a proper response when she refused to leave where she wasn’t wanted and had no legal right to be because she refused to comply with BOA request? Don’t lose sight of the actual issue…

Major, my bank does not believe in the physical abuse of a senior citizen, regardless. To avoid similar problems, my bank carries an excellent type mask to be given freely to customers who, like I did, forgot to bring theirs. Problem solved. I believe that violence begets and responds in kind to violence and the end result is not pretty.

Comply or die no matter how meaningless the actual issue. Got it.

The cops are way wrong in this situation. Cops are not authorized to enforce policy. They are authorized to enforce laws. It is BoA “policy” to wear a mask. There is no law requiring a mask. The lady should have been informed that she would be “trespassed” at the request of BoA. Then, she could be arrested for trespassing, which is a violation.

Excellent point.

‘this cop’s mother must be very proud of this creature called her son! There were better ways to handle the situation. Is this the cause of a year lost to violence?

Apparently she WAS arrested for criminal trespass as she refused to leave the premises. While Masking may be dumb, ineffective or actually dangerous to some people, it’s perfectly legal for private enterprise to establish reasonable rules for employees and guests.

I have never worn a mask, and only twice at the very beginning last June did stores refuse to do business with me. My policy is this, and should be for everyone who knows masks are a fraud to affirm the narrative of a fraud. If a store, or bank, will not let me transact business because I refuse to wear a mask, I will take my business elsewhere. Costco initially didn’t allow anyone in without a mask, so I didn’t go, then they did, so I went, then they didn’t, so we cancelled our membership, and went to Sam’s. My wife and I walk in without a mask, and nobody says a word because most of them know masks are worthless anyway. This woman didn’t do anyone, including the truth, any favors. If an army of truth seeking patriotic Americans just refused to wear masks, the government could do absolutely nothing about it. I just wish more people who knew better would join me.

This is why she should’ve killed him once he battered her by making unwanted contact not in the course of his duties. She would’ve been justified in defending her person from harm and molestation.
