The Charlottesville City Council voted to drape two Confederate statues in black fabric during a meeting packed with residents who screamed and cursed at council members over the city’s response to a white nationalist rally.
It was the first meeting since the riots in Charlottesville in which a protester, Heather Heyer, was killed after an alleged neo-Nazi plowed his car into a crowd of Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

Mayor Signer, a supporter of Confederate statues when the wind blew that way, said Tuesday that city employees had begun working to find a way to cover the large statues with a material that can withstand the elements. The council believes doing so would not violate the state law, he said.
It certainly violates the spirit of the law and it’s unAmerican.
Italy covered up the beautiful art in Italy to satisfy the radical Islamists of Iran. That was an anti-art submission to sharia law.
Georgetown, an alleged Catholic University covered up the cross to satisfy the Marxist Barack Obama.
The West is just waiting to be taken over by the insidious forces that would bring us to a dark and oppressive place.
