WikiLeaks’ Vault 7 has issued a new release titled “Dark Matter” that claims the CIA has been bugging “factory fresh” iPhones since at least 2008 through suppliers.

It states:

Today, March 23rd 2017, WikiLeaks releases Vault 7 “Dark Matter”, which contains documentation for several CIA projects that infect Apple Mac firmware (meaning the infection persists even if the operating system is re-installed) developed by the CIA’s Embedded Development Branch (EDB). These documents explain the techniques used by CIA to gain ‘persistence’ on Apple Mac devices, including Macs and iPhones and demonstrate their use of EFI/UEFI and firmware malware.

The full documents were released by WikiLeaks on Twitter.

Julian Assange explains in this clip.

The DoJ has asked to keep the documents from the first release out of court because there might be classified documents in them which suggests the releases are legitimate.

Makes me wonder what it will take for us to finally get really ticked off enough to start doing something about this. If this is true, then the Lamestream Media ought be all over it. If it is true and nothing happens, we ought to start emptying the Inside-the-Beltway septic tank ourselves.
