Reuters reports that Robert Mueller is now investigating money laundering accusations against President Trump and Paul Manafort who briefly served as his campaign manager. They are trying to compel Manafort to turn state’s evidence.
The investigators hope to push him [Paul Manafort] to cooperate with their probe into possible collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia, two sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team is examining Manafort’s financial and real estate records in New York as well as his involvement in Ukrainian politics, anonymous officials told Reuters. They’re hoping to find some crime they can charge him with to get him to turn against Trump.
Keep in mind, there is no evidence that a crime has been committed – NONE! This is a fishing expedition.
From 2006 to 2013, Manafort bought three NY properties in cash, one was in Trump Tower, he then took out mortgages on the same properties. Some agents say it’s a tactic to hide the origin of funds.
Trump wasn’t a candidate then but they’re after Manafort to get Trump.
Rob Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, allowed Mueller to investigate anything and everything and to whatever degree he wants. He put no limits on Mueller. Since this is not a criminal investigation and there has been no evidence of a crime as of Comey’s tenure, Rosenstein needs to immediately limit the counterintelligence e investigation.

This is the reason Trump is angry with Sessions. Sessions left him in the hands of people likely engaged in a witch hunt.
Almost every person Mueller hired is a Democrat and several are Hillary donors. One worked for the Clinton Foundation. An astounding 99.8% of the donations by employees in Mueller’s firm donated to Hillary. In addition, Mueller was rejected by Trump for the FBI job and Mueller is a close friend of Comey’s.
The Reuters sources are hoping to find something on Manafort to help convince him to flip.
“If Mueller’s team can threaten criminal charges against Manafort, they could use that as leverage to convince him to cooperate,” said one of the sources.
Manafort’s spokesman, Jason Maloni, said, “Paul Manafort is not a cooperating witness. Once again there is no truth to the disinformation put forth by anonymous sources and leakers.”
This is another leak by anonymous sources meant to destroy Donald Trump. If this is a leak from Mueller’s team, Mueller needs to be shut down immediately.
Andy McCarthy thinks the investigation has to be severely restricted but Ben Stein went further. Stein said they are out to “kill” Trump politically and perhaps put him in jail. Both say there is no basis for this investigation.
