Elon Musk Goes Off on The Big, Beautiful Bill – Updated

Elon Musk “can’t stand it anymore,” and says the Big, Beautiful Bill is a “disgusting abomination.”

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

I imagine the bill is typically selfish DC Swamp critter poison and should be called the Big Ugly. Who’s with me? However, President Trump has to save the tax cuts and get some additional cuts and some regulatory laws in place. He’s at the mercy of the Swamp critters we elected. Am I wrong here?

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, said the President knows how he feels and disagrees.

Robby Starbuck writes: Congress has never been more hated. The good members know this and understand why. It’s largely corrupt, insular, narcissistic and filled with the wrong incentives. It’s a both sides problem (esp in leader$hip). And that’s the nicest stuff I have to say about Congress right now.

Congress hasn’t passed anything worthwhile, hasn’t codify a thing, and where are they on judges running the country? However, the first rescission bill for $9.5 billion is coming this week. That’s good news and a good beginning.

Updates

Speaker Johnson says Elon is very wrong about the bill. If true, why doesn’t he sit down with Elon and tell him what’s in it and how it’s not loaded with pork? It could be that our Republicans don’t sense the danger, and think we can keep spending because we haven’t crashed and burned yet.

Geiger Capital’s CEO says we need to add no new deficits.

Thomas Massie says Elon’s right. He is of the same mind as Rand Paul. They are very frustrated and concerned about the wild spending.

Paul wants to put Congress on a tight leash, $500 billion at a time. to get Congress to do their job. Make them answerable for every $500 billion they give them. He said Congress is not very honest.

So, who’s right? We don’t know yet.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said this evening on Newsmax that they need to spend to grow the economy and the revenue. He sees the important issue right now as the GDP.

Musk is right. Trump knows the bill is part abomination. He supports changes.

This is not a Trump versus Musk debate, which of course the left would love.

Congress is the problem. Recall last week Liar Johnson said he would have the first DOGE cut bill Monday (yesterday).
