According to The Wall Street Journal, President Trump has summoned senior Pentagon officials and the top military contractors to the White House on Wednesday. The purpose is to discuss ramping up munitions production amid concerns about the supply of U.S. missiles. That is according to anonymous sources. Additionally, President Trump has a money problem to go along with the possible munitions shortage. Democrats and several Republicans won’t pass the budget for the munitions.
Trump wants more weapons, and he wants them quickly. We gave many away to Ukraine, and now we have the Iran war.
Bombs and Negotiations
The President threatened to resume bombing of Iran if they don’t negotiate, but the U.S. military arsenal is somewhat depleted, according to some sources. The U.S. rapidly burned through missiles and interceptors.
As for negotiations, Iranian officials are now publicly contradicting the U.S. on IAEA inspections, sanctions relief, missile negotiations, and Lebanon.
In good news, the Strait of Hormuz is open, after being open, closed, open, closed, open, closed.

Several automakers have joined the production team, including Ford, and they are in talks with GM.
Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg and several major munitions suppliers, including Lockheed Martin, RTX, Boeing, L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, and Honeywell Aerospace, are expected to attend, the people said.
Do they have plenty of weapons?
White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said the Pentagon has “more than enough munitions, ammo, and stockpiles to serve all of President Trump’s strategic goals and beyond.” But she acknowledged that Trump “has urged our defense contractors to constantly produce more made-in-America weapons, which are the best in the world.”
“America’s military is the most powerful in the world and has everything it needs to execute at the time and place of the President’s choosing,” said Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell. “We have executed multiple successful operations across combatant commands while ensuring the U.S. military possesses a deep arsenal of capabilities to protect our people and our interests.”
Trump previously summoned defense CEOs to the White House in early March, less than a week into the war in Iran. After the meeting, Trump said the companies had agreed to boost munitions production. Weapons makers, including Lockheed Martin, RTX, and L3Harris Technologies, have pledged billions of dollars in investments as part of their effort to expand munitions production.
The problem is still money. He needs $350 billion in a reconciliation package, but the Senate won’t pass it.
Meanwhile, Iran still has weapons. In fact, according to CNN, they might have a new one. An American F-15 pilot downed over Iran in April reported seeing Iranian drones flying in coordinated jellyfish-like formation before he ejected. U.S. intelligence is now examining whether Iran has developed mesh-networked drone swarm technology. It is a capability not previously attributed to Tehran. The pilot’s account remains under debate, with officials weighing whether it reflects an unknown capability or was distorted by his injuries.
