“The discussion quickly escalated into a heated exchange between Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee, the bill’s chief Senate sponsor, and several of his GOP colleagues. Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn and Thune both challenged Lee’s push for the legislation, according to a source familiar with the meeting.”

According to The Daily Caller, John Thune allegedly admitted during a closed-door GOP lunch on Wednesday that some Republican senators oppose President Donald Trump so strongly that they will never vote for the SAVE America Act, regardless of the legislation’s merits, according to several sources familiar with the matter. He denies that publicly, but weeks ago, Rep. Tim Burchett said several Senators won’t vote for it because they hate President Trump.

He should expose them or take their committees away until they vote for Voter ID. Americans want this.

These creeps think it is more important to hate Donald Trump than to do the right thing for America and our sacred vote. We don’t need these people in the Senate, and Thune shouldn’t want them there.

We can all guess who they are. If Thune were a decent leader, he’d act.

How much do they hate President Trump? Enough to give up their beloved spying program, angering their donors?

From The Daily Caller:

The discussion quickly escalated into a heated exchange between Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee, the bill’s chief Senate sponsor, and several of his GOP colleagues. Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn and Thune both challenged Lee’s push for the legislation, according to a source familiar with the meeting.

“Yeah, that totally happened,” a source familiar with the matter told The Daily Caller.

Still, the Majority Leader’s office denies the admission. “This is a baseless claim, and it is unequivocally untrue,” a spokesperson for Thune told The Daily Caller.

John Cornyn and John Thune hate Trump. We can’t say if they hate him more than doing the right thing.

Popular X researcher, Data Republican, said Thune is in tight with the left-wing news outlet Punchbowl News. If so, that is a serious conflict of interest.

Scott Presler will be in South Dakota at election time to try to counter the Thune influence.
