Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El Sayed is allegedly seven points ahead of Mike Rogers in the polls. El Sayed is wrong for America and the US senate in every way, but he’s allegedly leading the race.
The Hill reports that a Suffolk University poll found that 47 percent of likely Michigan voters backed El-Sayed, while 40 percent supported Rogers in the November contest. I am not totally buying this. I can’t believe Michigan voters would vote for this awful candidate. I mean, he’s terrible, really terrible.
The survey found that 81 percent of Democrats backed El-Sayed, while 90 percent of Republicans supported Rogers.
Additionally, the Democratic candidate performed better among younger, female, and Black voters. The GOP nominee holds an advantage among older voters, male voters, and white voters.
Abdul does well with unaffiliated voters.

So-called Dr. El Sayed never practiced medicine and is not licensed. He is well-educated, but he is an awful candidate. Yet, he is 7 points ahead in the polls of a normal candidate, Mike Rogers.
